| Adolesence, any suggestions! Ok Kramer is 5 mos. this week, he is being so stubborn and doing things he never did as a puppy. Last night he peed on my blanket on the couch, he has never done that before, what's that about? Also he ignores us when we call him, and if he pees on the kitchen floor, which he is good for twice a day, he walks around the table and i can't catch him to take him out. He actually does this all the time, we say Kramer waite, he just keeps walking or running around the table, impossible to catch. I have tried treats with the here command and he comes fine when i'm training, but when i really need him to come he doesn't. Any suggestions. |

| Oh yes...I remember that...my puppy is 8 months old and he was like that from about 4 1/2 months until probably about 3 weeks ago! He would test us like crazy to see how far he could go. We had him neutered the beginning of January and he has calmed way down and now he just loves to play..and he LISTENS to us about 98% of the time...he is becoming more enjoyable and not getting into so much trouble. Just be patient and don't let him get away with things...as far as the potty training part I am not sure about that...but I am sure that others will have some good advice for you Good Luck..it does get better I promise!

| i feel yaaa i definitely feel your frustration! Einstein grabs things he's not supposed to have all the time and runs to the end of the table, we spend a good 5 minutes getting things from him. He's a year old by the way! treats is what really gets him to listen to us

| I wish you guys could see me like a lunitic trying to get him inside from the yard, i try treats, toys, anything i can think of and he just makes a fool of me and then i go out to try to catch him and all we do is run in circles until he finally runs in the house. |

| I know this might not be correct, but it worked for us. We have a 4 month old fur-girl and she was running from us outside. When I caught her I would tell her no and put her in her crate for 1 or 2 minutes. After a while when she would start to run and I said no she would turn around and come back. When she came back, I would give her a treat. Now when she's done with her business I just say "Good girl Jersee, lets go get a treat" and she follows me right in the house.
