| ![]() ok, so before it was just my fingers, and I'd yelp and ignore etc, keep my fingers away and replace with a toy... But now, he's biting my ankles when I walk, and my toes!, I say NO! I even did the ignore thing...which erm, just made him follow me and try to bite my ankles some more. What can I do? he's almost 12 weeks old now and ouchies his bites are starting to really hurt lol. I tried the coins in a can thing, he jumps away scared, then starts barking at me and trys even HARDER to get my ankles after that, like he's angry lol. Should I try the water bottle spray thing?

| ![]() Hi, Yes you could try the spray bottle....my puppy doesn't care too much about it though so for my puppy, what I do whenever he nips is I say a loud and firm "No! No bite!" You could say No teeth as well. I have read other people doing that as well. And them I put him in a travel crate I use for my cats as his time out zone. Hope this helps! ![]()

| ![]() I've found that different methods work at different stages. So you could certainly try the water bottle. But don't give in to the boundary stretching. It's like having a little teenager!! At 12 weeks old, I'd say a quick time out would be good thing to try. I don't scold when I do time out, because I don't want him to equate his kennel with negativity. It's simply a consequence. In his mind it's "When I do this, this happens. If I don't want to sit in my kennel, I don't do that." At least I hope that's what in his head!! ![]()
