| How far can you go with training? My yorkie Rufus is just about to come home for the first time, I want to start training him as soon as he arrives, does anyone have experience of training a yorkie to a more skilled level (than sit, stay etc.) If so, how far can they go, how much can they learn? Thanks, Lisa |

| JMO, but I believe they (Yorkies) as well as any dog is capable of learning anything if you are willing to have the patience to teach them in a fun, loving, repetative manner.

| There are tons to consider after basic levels of obedience. You can continue to take the good citizen test, become a therapy dog, agility, rally-o, show handling, earthdog, etc.

| My yorkie seemed to pick up on tricks pretty quickly,he is 4 mos. and can sit, lay down, wait until told ok release and we are working on here, (that one is hard), but he has picked up on the others very quickly. I did take an obedience training class with him, which helped him socialize and helped me to teach him more effectively. |
