My yorkie seemed to pick up on tricks pretty quickly,he is 4 mos. and can sit, lay down, wait until told ok release and we are working on here, (that one is hard), but he has picked up on the others very quickly. I did take an obedience training class with him, which helped him socialize and helped me to teach him more effectively.
