![]() Our 4 month old is getting a bit better with the biting. I am going to attempt the tin can with pennies. He bites the most when he gets excited or at night when it is time to sleep. I would like some ideas on teaching him to walk on a leash with a standard harness. Due to the weather here ( cold to really cold ) he does not get out a lot and I want to get him to walk more. He has a sweater (which he hates ) and a harness. When I put the sweater on he will completely shut down. He climbs on his pillow and tucks his nose and curls up. Is it OK to give him treats while we are walking to encourage it?

![]() That is funny, cause Jacoby does the same thing. He hates his harness and if I make him wear it, he gets so sad. He will just sleep in his bed all day, then when I take it off him he is back to his playful little self.

![]() That is exactly what Generally does. He knows that the harness means he can go outside, but he still shuts down. He is not allowed outside without the harness and leash as we cannot catch him if he gets out. He loves to run. Once we are out for a bit and I tell him we are going home, he will start to run. Until then, he will sit until I tell him to "Come" and lightly pull on the leash. I would like to not have to tell him all the time. In the house, he will not respond to "Come".
