| potty training 1 yro hi ya'll been a minute so i may be giving Walker away to my MIL. she had a poodle mix for years and had to have him put down and is now looking for a new dog. so i offered her Walker since he and i are not getting along. so shes an older lady and doesn't want to deal with picking up poop and wiping up pee. Walker is not trained to go outside. he barely makes it to the paper. he is limited to the kitchen only while Troy has the run of the house. i need him to be able to hold if no one is home too. how do i train him to go outside? and hold it during the day?

| Are you trying to train him to go on wee pads as well as outside? I think some times that gets a little confusing. I take mine out every hour when I'm trying to train them to potty outside. Sometimes you have to stand out there for a while until they finally go, but it's worth the wait if you can catch them in the act, and then praise like crazy. Do you keep him crated all the time? You might want to close him off in a specific area to give him a little room to exercise. Hope this helps. Just hang on to your patience. Piper was 3 when he finally got the idea, and now he never goes in the house.
