| Is Layla mad at me??? Layla is 100% trained to go outside.... but every once and a while she will pee on the floor... tonight it was in the basement.. no where NEAR the door... she ALWAYS tells us that she has to go out... never an issue... do you think she is mad at me?? i have been incredibly busy lately.. she was at the babysitters all day today. i came home and did homework.. and honestly haven;t been spending that much time with her... i feel bad.. is this her way of letting me know she is upset?? do other dogs that are fully trained do this??? |

| Layla! How come you're being a naughty puppy tonight? Sorry you're going through this, Marci! Many people will argue that dogs don't have complex thought, however, I do think they can be spiteful and have accidents on purpose if they feel like they're not getting enough attention from us. The chihuahua I had before used to pee right in the doorway of my room-just exactly in the spot where I had to step in order to turn on the light. She would only do this if I ignored her for a long amount of time-like if I had friends over or lots of homework. She never peed anywhere else in the house-just there, and just to remind me. Try giving Layla extra attention tonight, and see if that helps at all.

| I remember her vet saying that if she had accidents it could be something like that... so i'll keep and eye out for that.. however she has done this before.. and about 10 minutes after she peed she rang her little bell as if to say.. sorry mom.. this is how i normally do it |
