Sorry you're going through this, Marci! Many people will argue that dogs don't have complex thought, however, I do think they can be spiteful and have accidents on purpose if they feel like they're not getting enough attention from us. The chihuahua I had before used to pee right in the doorway of my room-just exactly in the spot where I had to step in order to turn on the light. She would only do this if I ignored her for a long amount of time-like if I had friends over or lots of homework. She never peed anywhere else in the house-just there, and just to remind me.
Try giving Layla extra attention tonight, and see if that helps at all. |
