| When to start training classes? I was just wondering when is a good age to start my baby in obedience classes? He is currently 14 weeks old and I'm planning to enroll him in a puppy class that starts on Nov. 20. The class is for puppies 5 months or younger, or small breeds that are well socialized (if they are over 5 months). Would it be best to start him on the Nov. 20th class, or do you think I should wait until a January class? He will be older than 5 months if he joins the January classes, but since he's small and well socialized, he'll still be able to join it. I don't know why, but I just think that 16 weeks seems so young to be starting him in school. Would he be able to understand everything? Are is it better to start them as soon as possible? |

| My vet told me that when I bring him in next week for his next shots, he should be good to go for obedience classes as far as shots go. I'm not sure if they include the bordatella vaccine, I will have to find that out next week. Thanks for the heads up! Quote:

| I think as long as he got all his shots, he should be good to go. Bitsy went to her first class last week (at 17 weeks - a little over 4 mos). |
