| Talk to Me Treat Ball Anyone have one? Talk to Me Pink Treatballs for Dogs at PETCO I ordered it hoping that recording my voice would help keep Bailey entertained and from missing me while I'm at work. But I just got it today and it came broken! At least I think it's broken...I hold down the record button and talk but the red light never goes on and it never replays my message! If anyone has it and there's something I'm missing let me know. I tried to take it back to the store but they could only return it since they don't carry them. I got it on sale too. So I'm going to try calling to see if they'll send me another one. I also ordered the $12.50 treats that go with it! So it's annoying that it came broken!

| I love the fact that this one records YOUR voice so your pup can feel like you're there when you're not. Petco.com was very easy to work with too. I called and asked for an exchange and they shipped me out a new out. It's supposed to arrive tomorrow, and at the same time the Fedex guy will pick up the old one to take back. Will let you know how she likes it once I get the working one and record my voice in it.

| Yay! My new ball came today and it works! It is very sensitive- plays your recording when it's barely tapped, but luckily you can turn that part off if it drives you crazy. I'll probably just turn it on when I'm not home since I hate hearing my own voice! I'm sure most dogs would love it. Even my cat, who I thought would have no interest, investigated a bit after I put her treats in it. It's a bit too big for her though (and I got the mini). She was very confused when it played my voice. Hopefully Bailey will love it!

| Well Bailey doesn't exactly have the reaction I hope for with the ball. I thought it would comfort her, but the voice part seems to freak her out! Here is a video. She hasn't figured out to roll it to get the treats out, and I'm not too sure I want her to have it because I don't want to encourage the barking/growling. I guess it would keep her busy for a bit when I leave though!

| But is it really ok if this toy is teaching her to bark? I don't want her to be yappy later on. When she starts growling and barking at the ball (she does it even when the voice feature is off) I take it away for a while. Lately I just put her dry food in it and it's enough to get her to play with it. She loves getting the food out, I just don't know why she has such a "mean" reaction to the ball.

| Is she generally a barker?? Snickers only barks occasionally at things, and at us when he wants us to play but thats about it. I don't mind if he barks really. But if Bailey barks often, then it might pose a problem.

| Well I've only had her since Friday, and she's only 10 weeks, but with the treat ball is the only time I've heard her bark. However, she does have separation anxiety and when I leave the room she cries & howls. I would hate for her to add barking to that, as I'll eventually be leaving her alone for 8 hours while I work.

| Awwww, congrats, how fun!! You must be having a ball with her!! If she is only barking at the ball, don't worry to much, also the more attention you give to her barking-the more she will bark. Snickers had SEVERE Sep Anx (see my thread "I'm lost, depressed, and don't know what to do" in Training section.) When you eventually leave her alone while you are at work, be sure she is by a window and can look out. Snick would soil himself daily until we did this. Now, he has random accidents, we are so relieved and hopefully it will cont to help. Good luck...I just ordered the ball from another website. Can't wait!
