You lot and your "opinions" about breeding have just put me right off this site which I have only just joined ! I can't believe you all get so argumentative about those wishing to breed who are not "show" people. They say show people are a nightmare, and I can see why that is often said ! Apart from puppy farmers and people over breeding pups to get a show dog they like, I cannot see the harm in caring pet owners with nothing but good intentions, who have read up on the matter, having the odd litter for the benefit of prospective pet owners, and overseen by a good vet. Obviously you wouldn't breed from an unhealthy dog, likewise should you be charging such exhorbitant prices or not checking prospective new owners. If show people really have the benefit of being better than others in the quality of the pups they breed, then why do they charge such ridiculously huge prices for their puppies with no actual guarantee of a healthy dog. Put your money where your mouth is and sell those puppies cheaper ! Afterall, you aren't in it for the money, are you ! Advice is fine, but it should be given nicely to those who are learning, and you should not tar everyone with the same brush of assuming that non registered pups or pet breeders are bad people only doing it for profit with no care or concern about healthy pups and parents, and where they end up. There is good and bad in all walks of life. The breed standard for example insists on some breeds having snub noses which cause life-long breathing problems and misery for those dogs - so even that is not always right, is it ! ....but many of us would still give one of those poor dogs a home from a rehoming centre wouldn't we - even with it's health problems ! We should all concentrate on loving every Yorkie for itself, and give it the best of healthcare and the best loving home for however long it lives...you can invest love in those that won't be blessed with a long life. It reminds me of those who say that no disabled people should have, or deserve, a life. That makes me very angry considering the only child I have been very blessed to have, has Autistic Spectrum Disorder. I give her the best life I can, and she repays me and everyone around her with bucket-loads of love and enjoyment........ ......as do those IMPERFECT YORKIES ! Good luck to everyone who loves their Yorkies.....that is all that should really matter - good intentions. So no more fighting !!! DEBRA

hooray for common sense i am sorry if the bickering has put you off the site it would be a shame to lose a down to earth person as you are, i am sorry it got childish but i love my yorkies so much and i deeply care for them all and i also am very careful where the babies go i turn down more people than allow , they are my passion and my intentions are good and i objected being made out as a greedy puppy farmer i am sorry but i felt the comments and snobbery were wrongly directed at me.

FOURTH TIME LUCKY.....JUST HAD TO UNLOAD AOL AND BROADBAND AND RELOAD THEM AS OUR DAUGHTER OVERLOADED OUR COMPUTER, AND EVERYTIME I WROTE A REPLY TO YOU LAST NIGHT IT WENT OFF THE INTERNET......HERE GOES : You are very very welcome MRS H ! It was not you I was amazed at, just the awful self-rightious people that jumped down your throat when you were only asking a perfectly legitimate question ! Just because you are looking for a stud dog doesn't mean to say you would not do the best by your puppies(I would trust you) and you are not a bad person for not knowing breeders to get one from ! Often they are not available or are too far away, and it is very hard to get a stud from a lot of them as they are wanting to keep the puppies within the KC family, to keep their prices high ! Why do they think they are sooo right ? It does come accross as snobbery. They only seem to have their own interests at heart a lot of the time, as they do not treasure anything other than the perfect dog - to me that is completely wrong. Often the best ones of the lot are the ones who are not breed standard exactly, as they often have the best characters. At least you have restored my faith in this site by proving that you are a nice genuine person ! Thanks for the complements....I could go on and on justifying my comments by many more, but I think I hopefully made people think - if they really think so much of the breed then they should go out and rescue a poor needy Yorkie as well as buying "perfect" pups. They shouldn't condemn lovely family home breeders who have looked into it and only want the best for any pups their dogs might have, and whose prime concern is their dogs' welfare. Just because some pups don't sell quickly, doesn't mean someone shouldn't have another lot the next year - as long as they have a good home while with you, and they get a good home when it suits the person looking (often people like an older pup anyway) then why should it matter - you can't dictate when people come looking ! It's ok for show breeders to sell puppies at an older age, and advertise for months on end. Casper was 19 months when I rehomed him, and he was advertised from a year old - I didn't condemn the person selling him - he found the right home in the end with me, didn't he ! Sorry, political correctness gone mad makes me disheartened when their are puppy farmers and dogknappers to worry about ! ......DEBRA Here are some more pics of my three : 1. TARA 2. CASPER (with long hair) 3. TAMMY (a few weeks after I got her, and after treatment - looking better already !)

your babies are gorgeous thank you for being so kind at the time i felt bullied and cornered i was wrong to keep the argument going really i know that now but i was still very stressed and upset due to the recent death of my father and i felt judged by a person who does not realise how much work and love i put into my dogs and they are all real dogs they play and run and get messy i do not dress them up preen them constantly and put bows in there hair they are dogs and i feel a happy healthy dog should be allowed to behave like one which includes to mud rolling that my babes enjoy on a regular basis!!! usually when we have visitors,
