There is NO AC ANYWHERE in Germany. Unless its a high class place My OBGYN Dr is down town.. about 6 flights up and NO AC. The only AC you get is the freezer area of the store lol They do have coolers you can buy to put in your home... Kind of like the window units but they dont go in the window. There really $$ and only being here 3 yrs.. its not really worth buying it. All you have to do is open a window and put a fan in-front of it. It only gets up to about 80.... so its NOT too bad. Even most cars here dont even have AC in them... Its something you have to pay extra for... its not like back home where ALL of them come with it. I have been here fore 2 yrs so I have gotten use to it... But I still miss AC on a hot sunny day. Going shopping in a store on those days... is not fun at all.

They dont sever anything with ice bc you dont get free refills (unless its fast food). YOu have to pay for them.. so they believe in giving you your moneys worth...not like back home where half of your drink is with ice (from TX). Even thou they dont have good old fashion ice tea here and its not hot enough to make sun tea.. there hot tea is REALLY REALLY good. Its nice on a cool night or winter day. I think thats what I am going to miss the most... there coffee and tea. its MUCH different then American tea and coffee.

It's also true that tea and coffee are much better... my father used to call the American coffee "little flower coffee" (Bluemchenkaffee) b/c on the old fashioned china cups there are little flowers on the bottom and when you can see the little flower through the coffee... well, let's say it's just brown water then...

| There are a few things I really miss... real Brezeln (not the pretzel joke you find here), Ritter Sport chocolate and a fresh Leberkaes Semmel from the Viktualienmarkt. Oh... and Gluehwein and the Christkindlmarkt. |

Donating YT 7000 Club Member | I've never been there, I'm not even German haha. But I look at pictures of it a lot, it seems like a really beautiful country. I'm hoping to be able to go there someday. My best friend is going to Europe for a month in July, and she's spending 2 weeks in Germany.

About the outdoors pee problem, have you tried to bring a pee pad outside to show your baby it's O.K. to go there? I can remember that my parents beagle only went pee on a grassy spot, never on the pavement...
