Senior Yorkie Talker | My Wee Princess Died 2 weeks ago Hey Im new to this Im finding it hard to come to coping with my wee Cassie gone. She was ill from nov 09 she had vomiting which i took her to the vets they done ultra scans and scope down the throat one off her adernal grands was bigger than the other one so they run tests for cushing diease by she wasnt drinking loads nor eating loads and her hair wasnt falling out. It came back after that she didnt have cushing disease. so the vomiting was still there she was on pepcid, anstepsin. and cercenia all of this helped for a while but the sickness was still there. I got her home after she had the bloods for the cushing disease and the nurse and vets left her in a right way with stool and urine over her i was annoy so i complaint the next day coz i just want to get her home get her wash and made her feel better than stressed as she was. So after that the clinic astomsphere towards me and my dog change it was like they had give up on my wee dog so i move her to another vet clinic she was on antbolics for 5 days to see if that would help and an anti-sickness injection which it did help but when the fri came my wee dog was very ill i got her to the vet they put a drip on her and run blood tests, but still couldnt find what was wrong with her, I left cassie in on the fri and wanting to see her on sat I went up with my dad and sister and the girl brough her out her bed was soaking in urine and so was she i was annoyed i thou ok a one off so i cleaned her up and had a new bed and blanket with me, when i came on sunday first thing in the morning the girl brought her out again and she was worse than the satur she had stool all over her back end and urine all over her, dont forget my dog was serious ill and had been let like this, I told the vet im taking her home with or without the drip on so i did, when i got cassie home i got her cleaned up and she was feeling much better, they didnt even give her water by mouth coz her gums where reallly white, or fed her, I had been looking after my dog for nearly 3 months she wasnt eating much but i was feeling her every 1hr and she was taking it. she was drinking for herself, I payed out alot off money and still didnt find out what was wrong with her. i had cassie the sunday ,monday, and tuesday she was to be having an op to open her lower stomach open to see what was going on, but i knew in my own heart and i think cassie did to that she couldnt cope with this pain off going to be open up. On tuesday 19th jan 2010 cassie died in my arms Its been 2 weeks i feel that i put my trust in both vets and they broke that trust, i feel like i let my wee Cassie down, I go to bed at night all i can do is think about her and when i wake up i think shes going to be there in the morning people say it gets better but what i have been thou the past 3 months is very hard to deal with. |

| I am so very, very sorry your baby was so sick for so long and two Vets. couldn't even find out why. Those Vets. should also be reported for the horrible conditions they let the dogs lay in. Before you decide to get another dog, you should do some research on Vets. Ask people, friends, family who they would recommend. Big hug to you. I'm so sorry.

I never want sumone to go through with what i had to go through. It is very heartbreaking to watch you dog being sick all the time and lossing so much weight and my hands are tied on what to do when the vet is there to help get your dog better but this doesnt happen. |

Senior Yorkie Talker | hey Hey Everyone thanks I have reported them to the RCVS and they closed the complaint I am now waiting on a review from the head of Professional misconduct so i will not know until Sept sumtime even thou this has been going on from Jan and other animal could end up the same way!!! I am very Disappointed with the Royal college of not saying that an animal left all night in feaces and urine is not a Serious Professional Misconduct..... I will let you all know the outcome. | Oh Sweetie, I am so very, very sorry to hear about this - it is bad enough to lose your dear little Yorkie, but to have her treated so badly by people you trusted to help her, makes it so much worse for you. I, too, have found it very hard to find a good vet. I also asked around and people gave me names of so called 'good' vets, but when I went to these vets, I was very disappointed. I am still looking for a vet that I am happy with! I always thought that vets were people who loved animals, but I have found this is not always the case. So don't blame yourself about going to those vets - you did all you could to find a good vet. I applaud you for doing all you can to get these vets to answer for the way they treated your little Cassie. I wish I could take away the terrible heartache you are going through, but all I can do is tell you that it will get better, it just takes time. Meanwhile all I can do is let you know I care so much about what you are going through. We are all here for you should you want to talk - it really does help to talk about it with people who understand your pain. Sending you a big, big hug. |
