| FCI Broadband: Phone and Internet Service I hope it's ok for me to post this here. TCC and I are moving into an apartment in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, and tenants are offered a deal for phone and Internet service from FCI Broadband (fcibroadband.com). I want to know if both services are reliable. Are there any problems with phone service? Is the Internet speed ever slow or does the connection drop frequently? We use Bell phone service and have Sympatico Internet service right now. We're wondering if we should switch. Thanks! |

| Hi! I haven't heard a lot about FCI so I can't really comment on them, but I just wanted to ask - is this something that the landlord has negotiated with FCI? Do you know if other tenants are using broadband phone in the building? I only ask because I'm in a high rise in Toronto and can't use any broadband phone service because of the way my intercom (from the lobby) is hooked up through the phone. Just wanted to let you know so you can make sure that won't be a problem. |

| I think it's just a deal for new tenants or tenants who are looking to switch to something a little cheaper in price. I don't think it's a "you have to go with them or you get nothing" kind of thing. The rental agent and an office person there use both phone/internet service from FCI and have said they haven't had any problems with it. Interesting comment about the intercom dilema you have. I think I'll look into that with our building.

| I don't know about FCI but I also had Bell phone and simpatico. I swiched to the internet phone and don't have any problems at all. And the intercom works, too. I have rogers cable and of course if the cable is down, the phone won't work. I used to pay over $40 with Bell and now I pay $19.99 and have long distance calls included.
