Erm..... maybe we scared him off, or it was the threat of Mango's deplorable manners influencing his GF's Yorkie.... poor guy, I'm afraid we might have "roasted" him at a slightly higher temperature than we should have.

Oh.. well, I'm about to try and pry Hubbie loose from his ball game, so that he can help me wash Mango- her paws and face are just tooooo disgustin' for words after yesterdays mudbath. I swear I've gotta figure out how Ms. Sukoshi keeps her li'l self so dainty and pretty while my brat is dancing the Mango Tango in every mucky/swampy patch she can find..........

Ronda, those pictures are just precious! I love the way Mango is staring at her in the first one... like she's saying - "can I puhleeeease come sit on your lap too?" Teddi looks so cute in her pink hoodie sweater.

This just breaks my heart.... Misty I can understand how hurt you must have felt. You went to all lenghts to make sure the weather avoided the park site and checked the forecast to be as certain as possible that the weather will hold.

Yet, I do understand why the change was made. I'm sure everyone believed what you were reporting about the conditions and the weather but the decision was made because of how unpredictable weather forcasts are in So.Cal. Personally, I don't know that I would have went to any outside activity that weekend, I don't want to give baths to all THREE pups on the same day (can you imagine? It take 1 hour plus just to do Jazzie - )

I do hope you have a change of heart and rejoin the meet-up group. Future meet-up's will NOT BE THE SAME with out you and Chloe.

Now that the weather is cooler, I think it would be great to have a meet up in the Riverside area.

I am over it now. It was a rotten week for me, and I was extremely hypersensitive that week from some issues with my 15 year old son's high school.

He has Asperger's, (on the autistic spectrum, but way different from autism), and we have been fighting the school for a long time but finally got him an IEP. Well that week, about 4 different teachers of his did some things that were not within the scope of the plan. Everyday, I had to be constantly nipping at their heels to get stuff done, and I lost a lot of sleep over it the first half of the week. Then my back went out on me the last few days, and I spent the last couple of nights on pain meds for that. It just seemed like every time I turned around, something was beyond my control. Hopefully, if all goes well this week at my son's IEP meeting, life can get back to normal. If not, we're going to have to go to court and sue the school over it, and I'm not looking forward to that! So I'm on stress overload these days.

Anyway, I turned the yahoo page over to Lisa, and I think that is for the best. I'd love to get together sometime, but I don't think I'll join the group again. It would feel all wierd and awkward...considering.

Oh Misty, I haven't even had a chance to meet you and Chloe yet! I think everyone understands your situation and would welcome you without any reservations! Please rejoin. You were the one to get me to join! I think it would be good for you to be able to get out and relax with old and new friends! Delilah really wants to meet Chloe, too!!

I really don't see why it would be weird or awkward. We all have our good days and bad days. We all do and say things that we regret but thats part of being a human. You were having a really tough week and I can see you were looking forward to a few hours that you can put it aside and enjoy time with friends and how disappointed you must have been that it changed because of the one time in 6 months that it rained in So. Cal - If anything we should have been rejoicing that we got any rain at all. So.Cal needs even more rain and I would be willing to give up a few meet-up if it means less drought and fires.

We all got along so great, one little incident can't change that can it?

I do hope all parties involved can reach out and mend the broken bridge. I hate to see my friends broken up.

Oh my goodness@! I regret missing this, and hope there will be another one soon! I live in West LA near Culver City but will make the drive to socialize my pup with other Yorkies.

We're actually in discussions right now to figure out if our members are interested in a February meet. If we decide to have one, it will be this Saturday, as we aim to have our meets the 2nd Saturday of the month. So far, I think there are only a couple of us who want to have one, but we may just have a little mini-meet with the 2 of us if that's the case ! Keep your eyes peeled to the Regional forum for the details!

Size doesn't matter , but vaccinations do! I won't be bringing my little one either, as she hasn't had all her shots yet, and I won't put her at risk for parvo or anything. BUT...if your little guy is all vaccinated, I say bring him on! We had one member that brought her little guy as a puppy, and he was by far the smallest there, but that didn't stop him from already trying to show the girls who was boss !!!
