I really don't see why it would be weird or awkward. We all have our good days and bad days. We all do and say things that we regret but thats part of being a human. You were having a really tough week and I can see you were looking forward to a few hours that you can put it aside and enjoy time with friends and how disappointed you must have been that it changed because of the one time in 6 months that it rained in So. Cal - If anything we should have been rejoicing that we got any rain at all. So.Cal needs even more rain and I would be willing to give up a few meet-up if it means less drought and fires.
We all got along so great, one little incident can't change that can it?
I do hope all parties involved can reach out and mend the broken bridge. I hate to see my friends broken up.
