thanks so much for the info on fasion island we took lilo and stich last sat . we had a great time we even ate lunch at a great itialian resturant . we went in lots of stores and were very welcome in fact a lot of stores had water bowls for the dogs.

I am so... jealous. California is my dream vacation. I don't mean to butt in on your thread, but reading about all the exciting places that I'd love to go to is making me sad.

Excellent idea! My little princess/brat Mango would love to escort her Mommy to Fashion Island........ she just loves to meet other furbabies, and promises to try and behave her naughty little self....As long as no merchandise is displayed on the floor in any stores, where it could tempt her to "steal" something and then have an acute attack of the "zoomies", while we dash around after her, attempting to restore some semblance of order to the chaos she creates.

LOL! I've only been here for 2.5 years, so I'm still playing tour guide every time one of my friends or family comes to town. I enjoy it though. I moved to CA because it's so beautiful, and I love the opportunity to show others! Native Californians take it all for granted (no offense intended for any "native Californians" out there!

I'm with you on that one. I am also not Californian born (come aaaaall the way from South Africa years ago), and I am still playing tour guide to my assorted friends, relatives, etc. etc. I love, love, love it here..... reminds me of my home, where the sun always shone.

Are there any "Native Californians"? I think my hubby Dan is the only one! LOL!

I've been in California since 1982 and I still play tour guide when friends and family come to visit! It's a life time job when you live here!

Sukoshi, Surfie & Tiki and I are planning on meeting at the dog show at the Pomona Fairplex on Saturday - Anyone want to join us?

Lots of vendors & our babies are allowed in since it's an outdoor event.

I would have soooo loved to go, but wouldn't you know it, I am playing that Tourist Tour Guide bit to a visiting relative. I would have so loved to bring my rascal Mango to meet other furbabies. I think her and my senior Spanky are the only Yorkies in our neighborhood...

At my local dog-friendly coffee shop, the BIG dog owners joke when they see my 3.5 lb Mango, telling their brutes to open their mouths wide, because a snack (ie Mango) has just toddled into view...

I do hope that we can have a get together some time in the very near future, especially with Summer sort of here now. I can just see Mango bouncing around with someone her size and younger age. Our 12 year old Spanky is just plumb worn out by her demented puppy antics.

I don't know of anything happening in June (well...except Father's Day on June 17, but that's the same weekend you mentioned Corinne). So, the weekend of June 16-17 is out. I'm open any other weekend as of now.
