you are absolutely right, when i bought my puppy i paid for a teacup mostly because of back problems and she weights more than eleven pounds now.

How could you guys be so harsh on these people for using the word "teacup?" Why is the AKC standard the best? Come on people the world is evolving and this is how new terms come along. Please step outside the box! Just like the breed YORKSHIRE TERRIER was created, so is new terminology! Just because the puppy is tiny doesn't mean the parents were hurt in anyway. I mean little dogs can have puppies just like little people, it's just a little more complex. I am very educated on the breed, so I DO KNOW! Why is it that the dogs came from a puppy mill in Korea? Why couldn't it be a reputable breeder. Please stop stereotyping! Good StarYorkie Kennel!:D

I understand that people are judging without meeting them first.... well, i've met them AND purchased a puppy from them..... When people say that you shouldnt buy from someone that calls their dogs tcup... u REALLY shouldnt.... These people have NO IDEA WHAT THEY ARE DOING.... Let me rephrase... THEY KNOW EXACTLY WHAT THEY ARE DOING AND ACT LIKE THEY HAVE NO IDEA THAT THEY ARE DOING SOMETHING WRONG.... read my review and my story about my experience when them... hopefully you will see why people act the way they do about breeders who bring dogs from puppy mills and lie.

omg!!!! I purchased a dog named gigi from star yorkie!!! The dog had really bad seizures!! She had to be on medication the rest of her life!! Her birthday is 8-3-07!! She was about 6months old when i had to give her back!! She bumps into things cuz she is blind from one eye!!!!! Is this her?? I didnt know what these people had done with this baby!!! Are they just giving it away and trying to make themselves seem like good generous people??? Even though they gave away a sick dog??

I'm just reading this. I can't imagine how anyone can give their dog back, sick or not after six months. It's a shame that you did not give her to a reputable rescue rather then back to the hell hole she came from. Just my opinion. Elaine

Unfortunately, I found this post after I got my baby from star yorkie kennel. I do not regret it because I think of it this way: 1. I got a beautiful dog 2. He has a way better life with me! :love: I am writing this to warn anyone considering buying from them DON'T!!! When I went there I thought it was nice, clean, legit and I love his puppies. I contacted him regarding a yorkie-poo, which is what I thought I purchased. In Feb. I finally decided I was going to get my baby neutered and when I was there they told me, the morning of the surgery, that they could not do it because he was a yorkie-shih tzu and the anesthesia won't work with his face. I was so upset and confused I bought a DNA analysis to prove he was a yorkie-poo and they didn't know what they were talking about. It came back a few days ago and he is not a yorkie-poo. He has yorkie, shih tzu, pekeges, golden retreiver, and rhodesian ridgeback. Ah it makes me angry that I let myself be taken advantage of like this! I am waiting for a response from Star Yorkie but want to let everyone know so that you can be more informed than I was. Pass this along to anyone you know who is considering them. Also, I noticed everyone only talks about sick dogs from them, makes me wonder if I am the only one who paid for a certain dog and got another. Thanks for letting me get this out. Sorry

Wow! Sorry that happened to you. At least your baby is healthy(thus far), as others weren't quite as fortunate. I wonder if you have a legal foot to stand on. You could sue him for at least part of the money back. I know you love your baby now & wouldn't want to give him back but if you have papers where they state he was a yorkie poo when he clearly is not, maybe the courts will allow you to keep him AND get compensated for falsifying a contract.

Nonetheless, Welcome to YT. We are glad to have you & your baby here with us. I'm sure he is precious....and very lucky to be with you and not with Star Yorkie.

I hope I have a legal foot to stand on, this guy keeps committing fraud! now on his website he has an american blue pitt or something like that? it is just crazy to me. I do have the papers that say I bought a yorkie-poo. I will try to post a picture of him. thank you again and I did send a letter to him but we will see how far I have to take this. :animal36

hi!! sorry this reply took so long, I have been very sick :( but getting better and I thought I should finally thank you for writing to my post. yes, he has all those breeds but he is precious. here is a picture. this is the only picture I could upload, all the others were too large. haha

you are right! he is adorable and its soo good that he has you to love him! He is in a much better place! I am sorry you were taken advantage of though, thats just crummy...

Your little guy is adorable.....Have you attempted to take him to another vet for nuetering, 2nd oppinion.

He is indeed adorable. I can see the shih tzu in his face right away. But I am so surprised he also has a golden and a ridgeback in his DNA, like WOW:eek: how did that happen?? ya know?! so weird.

Do those DNA tests tell you much of a percentage there is of each breed?

Oh yeah, I forgot to add this to my last post but I have never heard of a vet that would not neuter a dog of any smushy face breed. I would definitely go elsewhere so you can get him fixed ASAP.

I have had several dogs de-sexed, male and female and including several shih tzu purebreds and I have never heard of such a thing.

I do breed, (not shih tzu's any more) but I have been also doing rescue, taking in all kinds of dogs for over 25 years and I know this vet is wrong (as we all do), but I would not only not listen to a vet like that, but I think I might go as far as reporting him because I think, for whatever weird reason, he just did not want to do it.

I would certainly question him as to where he got his information and ask him for proof as to why he cannot neuter a shih tzu mix or purebred. I would put his butt on the spot! :D;)

I'm now convinced that the owners of this kennel are con artists. After reading all of the reports, it sounds like the owners want to sell injured and sick puppies to unsuspecting web buyers. DO NOT give this kennel a chance to steal your money and DONT TRUST THEM WITH YOUR PAY PAL INFORMATION!

i just saw "swift justice with nancy grace" and staryorkie was being sued by a woman who purchased a yorkie from them. the yorkie she purchased was not only sick, but was also misrepresented as akc. in actuality, the yorkie was aca. needless to say, the woman won the case and ben from staryorkie had to pay the full cost of vet bills.

Wow. Talk about Karma coming back and biting someone in the butt.
