I read the post in the other forum. They can't afford a vet bill for their sick puppy? Look at their prices for their pups for sale. Up to $4,000. . You got to be kidding ?? All I can say is YUCK! :thumbdown |
 This is the same breeder auctioning off a yorkie baby!!! :thumbdown:thumbdown:thumbdown:thumbdown |
Give them a break!!! Come on guys, I also got my puppy from them. Gina & Ben were very nice and helpful. They took the time to answer all my questions, and believe me, I had many questions. Their place was very clean, unlike some other places I have seen around here. My baby is 1.5 y/o now and weighs only 3 lbs. he was always very healthy and I love him to death. So please stop badmouthing these poor people, they are bringing so much joy to many families and I absolutely recommend them to all of my friends and family. Thumbs UP! |
I recommend STARYORKIE.COM with all of my heart!!!! With all the respect to all of you guys... copying & pasting the same bad review... it's very easy to find a victim and discriminate him over and over again... I apologize to all of you who had a bad experience with staryorkie.... mine was completely different... I was pregnant about 20 months ago with my first child... at that time I was looking for a tea cup puppy that would grow old with my son, I came across staryorkie.com, and was very pleased with Ben& Gina's help and understanding. When coming to their house in Encino I met a very nice couple that dedicates their whole time to nurse & take care off those little ones. They keep a room warm and clean constantly and provide you with all the information needed. When purchasing my Yorkie I was still pregnant. After 2 weeks my dog got sick, she was coughing and sneezing and didn’t want to eat. I was very concerned and called Ben around 10:00pm. Ben came right away, and took her back to nurse her to health. After 4 days I had her back, happy & healthy. Since than the dog is absolutely amazing!!! My son loves her and my husband wants to get another one because I’m pregnant gain. Again, each and every experience is different, when comparing them to others I think they are absolutely great!!!!! They are VERY VERY nice, understanding, clean and instructive … and the price is reasonable!!!!! I recommend STARYORKIE.COM with all of my heart!!!! |
Why would anyone buy from a breeder that advertises "teacups" when there is no such thing as a teacup anything? Advertising "teacups" is a major red flag and should make any potential buyer run far far away..it's deceitfulness. It really sickens me that breeders continue this "teacup" myth just so they can make $$$ from uneducated buyers :thumbdown |
Funny, those two people came on within 15 minutes of each other and both had "great" experiences. HMMMMMMMMMMMMM |
I am new to this forum but both good posts are there first post !!! That is a little strange.. |
I'd bet they are the same poster. Their paragraphing/writing is very similiar. It's hard to change your writing style. Hockey. I'd just chalk it up to the breeder or someone she knows coming on. Who would get a "Teacup for their son to grow up with." Even if it were true any of it - a good breeder would not sell such a tiny pup to a family with small children - she would reccomend the bigger pup in the litter. Elaine |
Lollllll:D |
Along with the two positive reviews from members with 1 post total each; I also noticed this breeder is a now a member. http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/member.php?u=10817 |

We aprriciate the attention! 1 Attachment(s) Hi everyone, It's me Ben from the Star Yorkie Kennel. I have noticed many people took the time to compose their thoughts about our kennel. Well, first of all, I’d like to thank everyone for posting. After all, it really means you care. I will do my best to answer everyone's issues, even if it takes me some time to finish. For today I will say: We do everything we do with love and respect to our babies, costumers and affiliates. We never lie about what we do and if anyone really wants to know about something they can always send us an email or give us a call and we will be more than happy to talk. Ben in one of your other posts you stated that you only sell your babies to responsible homes? You have a button next to each pup so that ANYONE can leave a deposit. Giving the benefit of the doubt I went in and looked at your FAQ area (See the copy below) and thought maybe I'd see a stipulation regarding deposits stating only if you are an approved home but nope nothing there. You certainly covered the we reccomend taking action as they go fast and about shipping or pick up within 7 days or you charge a $25 a day fee and that deposits are non - refundable etc and also just click the pay pal link. Got to be honest - certainly does not sound like anyone concerned about where their pups end up. Elaine "If you see an available puppy that you like we recommend to you to take action. We have a lot of families that are interested in our babies so they are going pretty fast. You can put a puppy on hold with a $250 deposit. Just click the Pay-Pal link on the puppy's listing and that will take you to a Pay-Pal page; you can use your Pay-Pal account or just your credit card. Only in the first 48 hrs you can still change your mind and use the deposit for a different available puppy or a place on our waiting list. From the time you left the deposit you get 7 days to arrange payment and pick-up / shipping. If more time is needed you can use our baby sitting service for only $25 / day. The deposit is non refundable." |
Ben, why do you get your dogs from Korea? |
So basically you are a broker and not a breeder. |

Personally, I'm not a fan of either term and wouldn't say teapot yorkie either. But I realize the teapot is just a joke and not meant to sell overpriced dogs to uneducated buyers |

I just went and took a look at the site. I have to admit that a dog raffle is quite an idea. You make people pay $5 to only win a chance to put more money in your pockets. |
Good question! 1 Attachment(s) Quote:
We also breed some of the puppies over here on our location. We have one sire - Eli and two dams - Booba and Hiedi. Heidi has now 4 puppies that are ready to go and you can see their pictures and info on our website. www.staryorkie.com |
That is not true! 1 Attachment(s) Quote:

if you are advertising puppies for sale, which you seem to be, you need to post a "for sale" ad on the right forum. You are breaking rules the way you are posting them here. |

And just a note to StarYorkies...."teacup" yorkies are not allowed to be advertised here |

They are still open for business and still selling sick pups. Assuming you are referring to the one in Hockley Texas, Brushy Creek. |
Raffle?! HellO! Did you guys see that there is a raffle for a yorkie puppy on THAT website? $5 to participate. Just crazy. AND i'm curious if you're chosen, how is it decided which pup you will win?! Could it just be a scam? Raffles earning more than $500 (I believe, not 100% sure on the figure) have to be registered in the State of Florida. Meaning, a second, un-related party must monitor the contest, etc.. just thinking...  |
IRRRR!! Im sorry Im so irked by this, so Im going to just spill it. I apologize for my anger in this, but Im just so passionate after Oprah airing and reading Humane society and Main Line Animal Rescues horror stories lately. So Ben, Im wondering.....If you research all the REPUTABLE breeders on here, they despise the word teacup and are very concerned by people who try to breed small Adults in efforts to get even smaller pups. ALL your thumbnails SHOW OFF the smallness of your pups....aka...sitting them next to a coke can....ALSO---AKC and the Yorkshire Terrier Breed standard DO NOT recognize the weight of pups you aim to produce. If you are as true to the BREED as you say you are....why not follow INTERNATIONAL YORKSHIRE TERRIER STANDARD??? (Korean pups would fit that "international" standard too!) Im sorry...hopefully its not just me, but your attempts to come on here and redeem yourself have only made me lose more respect for your practices. One last thing....I consider myself very open-minded and was willing to listen to the kudos by some of your purchasers.....but I find it not in your favor that the ONLY people who will say good things about you had only 1 post, were newbies on THE SAME DAY..within 15 minutes of each other!!! Im sorry but reputable breeders dont have to ask for positive attention on here. Their work and honor for the BREED STANDARD speaks for themselves and many others send "unforced" kudos about them. Apparently, your actions speak louder than words too....and Im sorry but in my opinion ITS IS NOT IN YOUR FAVOR!!! |

With all the respect 1 Attachment(s) I see that there will be no end to this argument. You guys will always have something to say because you just don’t know the truth. So; I will offer you a deal. I invite everyone to visit our kennel and see how good of people we are how nicely we take care of our babies and how beautiful they are. After your visit you can write whatever you want as much as you want. Until then, please don't keep writing things that are hurting me and my family with no reason. We are good people and give our share to the community. We fed 100 needy children last thanks giving and planning on feeding a 1,000 this year. So take my offer and come pay as a visit. You are welcome :) Ben Ashel Star Yorkie Kennel puppies@stayorkie.com www.staryorkie.com |
