| BEWARE OF SASSY PUPS in Columbus, MS After being recommended to go to Sassy pups in Columbus, MS i finally went...I would tell others to beware. When I picked lexi up they told me the slightly nicked lexi's ear...it wasn't a nick. I took lexi straight to the vet and when they pulled to clue off they had used to clue her ear back together shere was a half moon peice taken out of here ear...I have loads of picts of it getting infected and having to have it coterized. Please do not bring your sweat little furbaby or any othe animal there for that matter.

| This was a few months back and she is all okay now, other then the fact she has a half moon missing from her ear, the vet couldn't fix it since there was no skin left there. I didn't pay any vet bills, sassy pups covered it after some fighting with them...my vet was awesome though...she refused to accept a payment from me, she said if she had too she would go after sassy pups, and after a while they paid. Lexi is just fine now, but i think she will be afraid of the groomer the rest of her life. We now are temp. living in San Antonio and am currently looking for a groomer, I trust no one now. Once we go back to Columbus, MS i will resume with the groomer we found after this ear cutting matter. Most vets do not recommend groomers but after this whole problem my vet gave me a recommendation right there and then. Thanks for all your concerns, i just wish someone would have warned me before i went there. It tooks months to heal, and the hair took forever to grow back over it to even cover it up. THe picts are pretty nasty and sad therefore I didn't post them.

| How scary! I'm glad your baby is OK and your vet got Sassy Pups to pay. I honestly don't understand how part of an ear can be taken off

| neither do I, nor the vet...who knows how it was done but it was done. I cried for a couple of days, thinking i was the most horrible furbaby mom in the world to have taken her there. You couldn't imagine my guilt, now i am anal about my groomer.

| Oh, bless your heart. I know that was so traumatic for both of you. Years ago, I took my Persian cat to a PetSmart in Clear Lake to be groomed and they almost skinned her. I thought I would die. She was so miserable and I felt awful. I was in tears. They didn't offer not to charge me but said I could bring her back for a free grooming. Yeah, right! |

My daugther and I stood behind the glass window at the petsmart in Winston Salem this past summer and observed a girl grooming a maltese. The girl clearly had no clue what she was doing. We watched her try to apply a bow to this poor dog's top knot and she pulled the hair so tight that the dog's eyes moved up about a half inch on it's head. At that point we knocked on the glass to try to get her to come to the door to tell her she had the band in too tight. She IGNORED us! We walked over to the vet counter beside the grooming area and spoke to someone there about it. What happened after we left is a mystery. | |
