Beware of Baby Doll Yorkies Sacramento CA  :thumbdown PLEASE PLEASE do not do business with this lady. I trusted her and neglected to look at my AKC paperwork before I left this ladies house. The dog I purchased came from Missouri (most likely puppy mill) and not from one of her dogs as she tried to convince me. I love my girl and will keep her but I spent quite a bit of money and was lied to. She brought out one of her dogs and tried to tell me that was the mother. I just read my paperwork AKC today and saw that the litter owner and breeder is some lady in MO. When I picked my dog up also she was sick with Giardia and Coccidia. I am not sure now what the prognosis is for the health of my pup, but i have learned a valuable lesson. Always ask to see both parents and their AKC paperwork. People can still take you for a ride, but is always good to check thoroughly. I would NOT have purchased my pup if I had known. She is a sweet girl but more than likely a puppy mill pup. Just be careful and steer clear of this lady Theresa Voqui-Baby Doll Yorkies Sacramento CA.:thumbdown |
I'm sorry about your bad experience. Unfortunately, you aren't the only member who's been scammed by scumbags like this woman. I would call AKC and report the breeder, I'm not sure they could do anything but at least you would be proactive. Then I would contact the breeder and demand a refund of some of your money since you're keeping the puppy and threaten to sue her for fraud. Does California have laws protecting new dog owners? Even if nothing comes of it you would at least have her thinking something could happen! Good luck and don't despair, just love your little girl and like the rest of us you'll know better next time. ;) |
Yes *please* get in touch with the AKC and ask them how you should proceed - did you sign a contract or anything? I'm glad you will love your baby - but anything you can do to help stop the "puppy mills" and "brokers" will be a mitzvah! (good deed) :-) |

I'm sorry about your bad experience. is this the website/ seller you are talking about? http://www.babydollyorkies.com/ I think she sells puppies on www.puppyfind.com too |
Baby Doll Yorkies I'm shaking as I type this. I too purchased a Yorkie from Theresa ON SATURDAY! I did my research and thought I had read everything regarding Babydoll Yorkies. I talked with her on the phone and ask many questions. I even drove to her home because I did not want her to ship my little girl. My little girl was Vet checked yesterday and is in perfect health, but I feel betrayed and taken advantaged of. I love this little girl and will keep her. I'm looking at my papers now and I have the same situation as the OP. She said she had bought my little girl & her sister from her friend to breed but she turned out too small. She brought me out a Yorkie she claimed to be her sister which was much larger. The name of the breeder is Kelly Touchet. Her address is whited out. Does anyone know where this breeder is from? She just whited out the New Owners Information and put my information it. She did not white out the date of transfer so it looks like I purchased this Yorkie directly from the breeder. I'm too trusting. I want to cry. Mary |
Try and see if she is registered to pay tax. Im sure the tax people would be interested in her as she does'nt seem the type to declare all of her earning's, maybe worht a try!! |

Babydoll Yorkies I would like to ask the OP when she got her baby. Even though my baby was checked yesterday, I'm scared she may have been exposed to Giardia and Coccidia. Mary |
i don't get how people knowingly deal dogs or sale dogs to people who are brokers! poor dogs! that site says "All our puppies are sold as loving pets, only. We do not sell for them for breeding stock. And we do not sell to puppy brokers or puppy mills, so please do not contact us." |
People like that just make me freakin Ill. I say go after her with all it takes to put her out of business. A good start is doing what you are doing is spreading the word. Take her to court, even if it is small claims court. Go today and talk to the clerk at small claims and she or he will guide you in the right direction. Please don't let this go. |
That SUCKS !!  I know there may not be anything you can do - but it's worth a try - and if I were in your shoes - report them to anyone you can think of - it sounds like fraud to me - but I could be way off base with that statement. But that really BITES that they are lying. There is such a thing called "deceptive trade" though I don't know if it would cover puppies - it's worth checking into. The Attorney General is also a place you may want to report her too |
I just found this for you - it's a Rip off Report - but read it and you can do the same thing - these come up in searches - so THIS is something you CAN do to let others know what that lowlife is doing to people http://www.ripoffreport.com/reports/ripoff162388.htm |
 I sold a puppy one time (about 1 year ago) that I couldn't find the registration papers for. I, not with any malace, used a set of papers from one of my other puppies that the new owners didn't want the papers on. I whited out the DOB and put in the other puppy's DOB. Whited out the registration numbers, put in the correct numbers. Tought all would be fine. Then I got a call AND a letter from the AKC saying that they needed copies of all the owners I had sold puppies to for the past 2 years, which littles, who were the dams and sires etc. They put all my sales of pupppies on hold for about 3 months. The time it took me to get them all the different things that they were requesting. So don't let anybody say that the AKC doesn't DO anything! They can shut you down in a heartbeat, if the situation proves to be one of someones concern. I'd contact the true breeder and see what they have to say. If they sold a puppy to a broker and then the broker sold it to you, the broker should have to prove somehow that he had the legal right to sell a puppy for the broker. I'd think anyway. Otherwise, the broker just bought the pups for nothing other than money. This broker isn't at all interested in the welfare of the pups, only the money!! I find it very disturbing that they are in CA. This bites big time! Suz |

Yep, that's her! Someone else was there when I was picking out my pup and they actually paid 2,000 for one of her pups without AKC paperwork! |

§ 122200. Pedigree registry; representations; documentation; remedies (a) A pet dealer shall not state, promise, or represent to the purchaser, directly or indirectly, that a dog is registered or capable of being registered with an animal pedigree registry organization, unless the pet dealer provides the purchaser with the documents necessary for that registration within 120 days following the date of sale of the dog. (b) In the event that a pet dealer fails to provide the documents necessary for registration within 120 days following the date of sale, in violation of subdivision (a), the purchaser shall, upon written notice to the pet dealer, be entitled to retain the animal and receive a partial refund of 75 percent of the purchase price, plus sales tax, or return the dog along with all documentation previously provided the purchaser for a full refund, including sales tax. You can sue her under this statute since she did falsifiy her pedigree papers, and recoup some of your costs. |

Just to update everyone, I spoke with the original breeder on the phone who was very nice and sent me pics of Sophies parents (not cute, but I still love my girl) but they are a USDA approved canine breeding facility in Missouri. My pup originally sold for 800, I paid 1500. Theresa told the breeder that she was buying 3 pups for a friend Ha. I was also able to locate the breeder for another person who was fooled by her. That is why I can't stress enough to people to check your AKC paperwork before you leave the breeders house. This lady Theresa is simply a broker posing as a breeder. She buys puppies from all over and sells them at a huge profit for her. Sad. I wonder what she would have said if I looked at my papers at her house? Hmmmmm not too smart! |
You are in luck? Are you aware of the disclosure law? She owes you 300% of the purchase price based on California law. Send me a PM and I will send you the law. |
cheetobandita34 sweetie - your broker is buying puppy mill dogs     - I wouldn't believe a word she says - anyone that can do that is just plain greedy and coldhearted. She is one of the reasons Mills thrive and I wish there was more you could do to shut her down. I would go after your money AND THE FACT that you were scammed. There are laws about disclosure.... I know it's a 'buyer beware' market - but it sounds like these freakin brokers are cleaning up....don't let this slide and keep talking about it so the next person won't get taken. |

I purchased my puppy from this breeder and she was really nice and honest. My pup was very healthy and I got all my paperwork, as promised. I am very happy with my purchase so I understand why anyone would say all these lies about her? If your puppy wasn't healthy, then you should have returned it. Doesn't she offer a guarantee? You should have brought the puppy back, not spread rumors about a legitimate breeder just cause you weren't happy with it... |
Well, of course the health of the pup is important, anti-biotics normally work, but is the dishonesty that I experienced when purchasing this puppy. There are alot of dishonest people out there. |
She is actually quite fortunate that so far she is not being sued for fraud. I have been told I have a definite case. |
Asian Women & MyYorkieLuv, I called the AKC and explained to them how my Dog Registration Application was altered. The breeders address was whited out and under the New Owner's Information the original name and address were also whited out and my name and address put it. They will not accept my Dog Registration Application. I bought a dog that was advertised as AKC Registered and I can not register her. Legitimate breeders do not do this. |
