This customer Jessica Avalos was trying to get a free puppy. It is not uncommon for puppies to have extra teeth when they are young. I also gave her a $250 refund because of the second row of teeth and she said she was very happy with Fabio. Jessica says Fabio was diagnosed with Legg Perthes Disease 2 months later yet she emailed me 9 weeks after receiving her puppy and only said he had Coccidia, she did not let me know anything was wrong with her puppy (Fabio) until after having him for 10 months ( why didn't she notify me when she had him only 2 month since she bought him for a breeder, and I have not bred either adult parents since she told me of his diagnoses & she said she wanted a $1300.00 refund because the surgery was $1000.00 and wanted to keep Fabio instead of the full refund because she wanted to keep him and I agreed. Now she is telling lies saying the surgery was $1500.00.I standing by the health guarantee which she decided not to follow. The Coccidia took place 9 weeks after she received him and after plumping him up with nutri-cal. If the puppy had Coccidia when he arrived she would have known immediately because of the foul odor & her vet would have know also on 12/30/05 when she said she was going to take him to the vets because he had diarrhea, which was from giving him to much nutra-cal . I have been breeding Yorkies for 5 years and Jessica Avalos is my FIRST unsatisfied customer.

I'm so TIRED of seening these little puppies being sold that have all these health issues. It's not fair to them and they SUFFER. People complain about the vet bills all the time and with every right to - but stop and think about the pain these little dogs are feeling due to bad breeding.....

With a GOOD breeder it's a rare event that a puppy has any problems.

and xxmxaxrxyxx .... that was HORRIBLE to read :( they let a tiny puppy freeze to death and the dogs live in a shed ? I would report that woman too . that's not a 'breeder'.....that's a GREEDer and a coldhearted one at that.

Don, You are right, I should have told you about Fabio having leg perthes right away. But with dealing with that came so much stress about how we were going to pay for it and all the specialists I took him to and the recovery and all that, I just felt so overwhelmed. So I waited to tell you about it til things calmed down.
Fabio came to me skin and bones, this lead me to believe that you were starving him to sell him for a bigger price. I dont know if this is actually the case but I wanted to warn people about my own experience. Fabio still has issues about food to this day. He also has irritable bowel disease and he has been to the vet about it.
I just want this whole issue to stop. I wont write anymore posts about you.

Complain to Breeders.net at http://www.breeders.net/report.php No 12 on their code of ethics reads "I am not a broker, dealer, puppy mill or wholesaler. I will not offer puppies for sale that I have acquired from others. I will not sell puppies to pet shops or other retailers."

Yes there are many organizations you can file a complaint with!! If she gets 3 complaints with Pets4you they will have to remove her. Do a search, Baby Doll Yorkies with it broken down, and you can see all the places she has classifieds or advertised there Kennel. You have to send proof of vet bills, and letters written to the attorney general. Many places will remove them from their site.

Thank you for the suggestion! I feel as if I've tried everything already! I've called the newspapers she advertised in & they were unable to help me! I contact puppyfind.com many a times & they weren't much help either! It's almost as if no one actually cares about these little puppies! Theresa is also trying to counter sue our family! So once again we go back to court next week for the run around!

My husband bought our baby last December from BABYDOLLYORKIES....Horrible. A year later and still no registration papers. She ignores phone calls and gives empty promises whe you do reach her. I live in sacramento an ran into someone else at my vet who also bought a pup from theresa, She has had nothing but problems as well. We have made serveral comlaints about her and have filed a report with the district attorney. His hope is to file fruad charges against her. she probaly thought we went away but Oh will she be surprised. The more that come forward and are are willing to tell their story, the more of a case can be made. She owes me all my money back for lying. Any judge will be able to tell what kind of person she is buy all the similar complaints. I am also looking applying to local tevelvison stations for their consumer watch groups. They can broadcast her lies on televison and investigate her. CALL YOUr LOCAL NEWS STATION!!!!

I have just come across this forum and cannot believe what I am reading. Me and my fiancee bought a dog from Theresa in August of 2007. My father and I have been making numerous attempts to get his papers from Theresa although she is now ignoring my dad and not returning my emails! I would not trade my dog for anything in this world, although I would like to have his papers and even know if he is AKC registered.

Type in those words that are in this title. Then contact all the places Theresa advertises, with your complaints. People like this shouldn't be selling Dogs as AKC when they aren't. If everyone would do this something will be done. Pets4you says they need 3 complaints. This is a number 1 dog search spot. I'm sure she depends on hits from them to sell her puppies to other unsuspecting people. It pays to do your home work before your puppy purchase.:p

I have & that's the sad thing. No one really seems to care. I've sent many e-mails to the sites she advertising on. I've never received one back! AKC can't help either! I wrote about her on ripoffreport.com & that's all you can really do. She hadn't touched your website in months. Who knows where she is now :(

I am new on this board, I do not have a yorkie yet but I have been wanting one for a very long time. During Christmas, I was in contact with that very breeder in fallon. When I was quoted the prices, I about flipped, but now I am glad I waited. It is so difficult to know who to trust. I have heard so many horror stories, that I am really scared. I am in Northern California in between Sac and Lake Tahoe. I am hoping to find a black and gold female.
Hope to own a yorkie soon.

It's really hard to make sure you have the right breeder for you. Asking a lot of questions is always good! If the parents are on site that is awesome! This way you can make sure everyone is healthy! I two was very scared after hearing all the horrible stories and I STILL was cheated! I live in the bay area too and there doesn't seem to be any good breeders around. If you look on the AKC website you can find breeders in other parts of Ca. Also I got in touch with a great breeder named Kim who lives in Portland, Oregon. www.yorkiepassion.com. Her little ones are soo cute!

I have been watching the same situation on a breeders in Northern California thread. The same thing happened from Kim Hinkle, the owner of Meadowland Yorkies and My Elegant Paws. She purchased her dogs last year from Simba's Pride, fought with them, then fought with Theresa from Babydoll and now she is doing the same thing. She takes deposits for dogs, then gets higher offers from other people and sells to them. She then goes back to the innocent first person to put the deposit and tells them the dog died and when it comes to giving a refund of the deposit, she gives a run around saying she was in the hospital and money is tight. ALL LIES. She was even DISGUSTING enough last summer to tell someone her husband died in a motorcycle accident and she had no money. SHE ISNT MARRIED AND NO ONE AROUND HER HAD DIED!!....now..she sells these Yorkies out of a bar. Lies about all their pedigrees and fakes the AKC papers too. Why isnt there an organization out there dedicated to stopping this. If not for the sake of these innocent precious animals, but for the ILLEGAL business practices. Im so angry and saddened by this.

By the way...beware on here too...Kim from meadowland disguises herself as different people and posts things to draw attention to her business....she uses the user names of: YORKIES R SPOIL, YORKIE BELIEVER, YORKIE TREASURE, YORKIES R US, CUTENESS YORKIE, K CUTENESS, and we are 90% sure she is also yorkiecuties.com. If its not her, it is her daughter, which is the same line of dogs. But yorkiecuties is not 100% confirmed yet. I will update when we know.

Wow im sorry, but im glad a site like this is around, cause apperenlty i did the same thing... so now before i ever, if i could ever ,or even want to, get another Yorkie i will ask for help 1st.

I too was taken to the cleaners by a Yorkie breeder. I really thought I researched well over 6mo,s Gave breeder to much information she used to reel me in. My problem with the advice to ask alot of questions is, the con's rule of thumb is "tell them whatever closes the deal, etc. We all know talk is cheap, however Yorkies are not, so it pays to buy what you can see, not what they say. We are sometimes in a emotional state wanting a Yorkie baby so badly, only hearing what we want to and bad breeders know it and play on our emotions until they get all their $$$$ and then you see the true person. Only positive side is, we all love our babies no matter what, I feel better I at least saved one more Yorkie.

Wish I had known about this forum before I was also scammed in every way. Had saved long and hard to purchase quality Yorkie Will report breeder after B.B.B can mediate compromise. or off to small claim court we go. Just want to let her know she picked the wrong person to try and con even if I do not win case, I will feel better I stood up for myself and my baby Jazzi, she delivered with five health issues, due to her saving on having a Vet check. I also learned that paying more does not always equal quality, health etc.l

Looks like Theresa Voqui closed down her old 'babydollyorkies.com' site and started a new one. www.yorkiecuties.com. It's the same text and pictures! Ughhhhhhhhhh!!!!! She's using a new e-mail & phone number. If this isn't her it's someone in the same town with the same vocabulary!!! Is there anything we can do!? Poor people who buy from her! She's horrible!

Why do I find that offensive? It makes me think about those movie endings where you think the bad guy is dead, but in the last scene you see him walking through a bus station, or something.

It also strikes me as a thinly veiled "neener neener" at the people here on Yorkie Talk.

Theresa knows nothing about yorkies! 'Talk yorkies'.....Ha.....more like talk MONEY! The only people she will be talking to is the collections agency I turned her into this week! What goes around comes around!
