Definitely do your homework before you pick the breeder and before you leave the breeders house with your paperwork. My pup too is now non registerable as she whited out the address on my paperwork too! Disgusting:mad:

It will take lots of paperwork, but I think you can register her. And you're right, a legitimate breeder would not white out the information.
Contact the original breeder and have her contact AKC to find out what she can do to make it right for you. She is ultimately responsible for that baby, and to you, she chose to breed.
I have been reading the posts, and from my gut feeling if it matters..
To the original breeder... anyone wanting 3 puppies from the same litter is probably brokering. I have had someone wanting 2 puppies at the same time, one for themselves, and one for a family member and I get suspicious and check them out even more carefully, but if someone wanted 3... would be no way! But I think the original breeder had no idea there was anything going on.
Now it does happen and has happened to me several times that I purchase a female for breeding myself and it is not the quality I am looking for, or is too small to breed. I do find a great pet home for them, after contacting the breeder to give them the opportunity to get the pup back, but I am upfront with all information to all concerned, that way you would have had knowledge before even seeing the pup.
Now, the seller on the other hand is a broker... or in the very least, dishonest!! Honest breeders would never white out the breeder's name on the AKC papers, and would never bring out a female to tell you that she was the mom. She could have simply told you on the phone that she had a female available that she purchased that was too small to breed, give you the breeders name, and for goodness sake, not charge you double the amount she paid!! Then you could have had contact with the original breeder and decide for yourself if that is something you still wanted to do.
It is hard out there, a lot of times we have to go with gut feeling on both sides.. breeding and buying. We have to somewhat trust what people are telling us, and check them out the best we can, breeders and new owners. I personally am very happy that your baby has you!!

Have you checked the secton on here for puppies? there is one on here that has a male for sale fo $500.

I did contact the original breeder. I called AKC and thru the registration number they were able to give me the name and address of the breeder. Then Cheetobandita34 helped me located her on the internet. I e-mailed her and explained how the registration papers were altered and how I thought Babydoll Yorkies was a puppy broker. She e-mailed me back defending Threasa of BabyDoll Yorkies calling her a very honest person. Then immediately Threasa e-mailed me accusing me of defaming her "good name". She said the only reason she whited out the breeders name was to protect the breeder????? So I doubt the breeder will help me in this case. She's the one that contacted Threasa of Babydoll Yorkies and told her what I had said.

I looked into getting a puppy from Theresa, we emailed a few times and spoke on the phone, but one of her contract stipulations (when I was looking) was that if the pup died within a year two vets (that I would pay for) would preform and autopsy and her vet would have the final say as to cause of death. I didn't get a good feeling - and she sold "teacups" which we all know do not exist according to the breed standard.

I wanted to thank you guys for all your support. Sophie is now almost six months old, weighs 6 lbs already (Yikes) but is healthy and a complete lovebug! If anything else. we have all learned to be extra careful when purchasing a pup! Truth is I also had a bad gut feeling when I first spoke to Theresa on the phone. Her phone manner was weird and I should have trusted my gut!:)

We need your advice on what to do to protect others from the breeder we got our puppy from which was Simba;s Pride in Fallon Nevada. Our puppy was delivered to us at the state border listless and lethargic. We assumed it was the car trip etc. By the third day he was taken to the vet severly dehydrated from continual vomiting. The breeder told us she had two pups in the back of her car and one of them had thrown up a lot on the trip. However, she neglected to share this info when we paid for him and picked him up. Anyway our little guy almsot died the 4th day and was seizing. He had three of these episodes before Giardia and tape worm were diagnosed. The vet (vets) said he came with Giardia and that is what sent his system into shock. Finally the medication for Giardia that he took worked. The vet suspects that his mother is a carrier and said the tape worm is more common. Anyway in the beginning the breeder offered to help with expenses and or replace with a new pup if he died. We obviously had no interest in exchianging for another sick pup. Good news is our little guy survived ($2,200) later but now breeder will not help with bills. We have been legally advised that we have recourse as a clinically ill puppy voids any contract specifics to parasites but want to help others avoid the grief and suffering we endured.

I am soooooooooo sorry for what you are going through. I almost got a pup from them! When I was initially looking I put up a post asking if anyone had a pup from them. There was one lady who said she did. I think her pup had a hernia and she thougt they might be a "Canine Breeding Facility" They always have pups! When I got Sophie (who unknowingly came from a puppy mill in Missouri) she had Giardia and Coccidia, which are common in pups. Although the pups should not have been sold until they were well. We went through a round of a couple of antibiotics and she ended up fine. Sophie also cannot seem to go for a car ride without throwing up. She gets car sick. Your pup however should not have been seizing. I am glad you were able to bring your pup to a vet. I am suprised your bill was that high???

You definitely have recourse. If you signed a contract you should be able to exchange your pup for a healthy one. I would report Simbas Pride to the proper authorities. (Not sure, others might know who) They should be looked into and shut down if they are selling sick pups. I think they are listed on breeders dot net. I would contact them and let them know what is going on. Breeders have to hold to a standard to stay listed with them. You also might want to contact the Nevada and Nor Cal Yorkie Breed Association and let them know. Put a couple of strong posts up here in Breeder Review and Breeder Talk. When I was going through all the drama after I purchased Sophie, I posted here and the support was overwhelming. The lady I bought her from is not shut down, but she is not technically a breeder, she is a broker. Just getting the word out was helpful. Word somehow got to her and she came on this site posing as a member. It was quite funny.

Once again I am sorry for what you are going through, and I am glad your baby is o.k. I know that my pup is really turning out to be a beautiful little girl and I love her tons even though she came from where she came from!

I purchased what I thought was a 3 pound at most, stud quality male. From WWW.YORKIEBABIEDOLLS.COM from Don Montgomery.
What I received at the air port was a 3 pound starved pup, ridden with coccidia, a second row of teeth, and definitely not of breeding quality. He is now a 6 pounder with a terrible coat and huge ears. But it gets worse, 2 months later he starts limping on his back leg. He was diagnosed with leg-calf Perthes disease and required a $1500 dollar surgery. This disease is inherited from this parents or someone in his parents line, I told Don about this yet he still breeds both the parents EVERY SINGLE HEAT!!! He has way to many females and I know now that he is running a puppymill. Don offers a health guarantee but he does not stand by it at all. I am just devastated that I did not do my research on THE BREEDER before I purchased. Don does all his business through the internet, so please spread the word on his horrible puppymill and hopefully we can put him out of business.
P.S. Fabio had his surgery and is recovering great!

You can contact their headquarters at (301) 734-7833, go to their website at http://www.aphis.usda.gov or e-mail them at ace@aphis.usda.gov. They will direct you to the appropriate regional department where you will be asked to submit your complaint in writing
get the breeders address and report to local ASPCA for abuse and neglect. They will sent someone over there to check and check for the breeders license.
If you dont report it the abuse will continue!!!

I purchased my puppy from this breeder and she was really honest. My pup was healthy and I got all my paperwork like she promised...so I don't know what this lady is complaining about. I' very happy little angel so if you weren't, then you should have contacted her and return the pup. Why do you need to start lies about her? If you pup wasn't healthy, then couldn't you have returned it? She offers a health guarantee, right? Don't start rumors about a breeder just cause you weren't happy with your puppy.

I love my little girl and I would definitely buy from this breeder again. I saw her puppies and their living conditions and I wouldn't say her pups are "sick". She has the most beautiful puppies and my puppy turned out perfect.

"MyYorkieLuv" just the fact that you've started a new account just to "defend" this breeder, or breeders without being a part of this community tells me that you are not to be trusted - and I highly doubt that you are for real.

I think everyone on here can tell a true Yorkie owner from someone who opens up an account and doesn't post anything about their dog - just defends a horrific breeder.

Don't worry, you'll all be out of business soon.

????? What is this lady talking about? I got my "little man" from them and their puppies are gorgeous! My little guy came with his paperwork and vet records. I even saw how the puppies were raised. She has a really nice clean set-up and they looked really well taken care of. Buddy is the love of my life... he's smart, healthy and the cutest little thing. I didn't have any problems with this breeder at all. I'm really happy!

I called the breeder and she says the lady who posted this thread is a liar. Beware of "cheetobandita34"! The breeder told me this lady was upset at the price she paid after she felt she had overpaid so now she's starting all kinds of rumors. Very sad... :mad:

The Sacramento breeder isn't even a real breeder she is a Broker!! and a horrible person, using these great dogs as some sort of pay out.

Well guys looks like Teresa is back and trying to defend herself. hehe:rolleyes: I have no reason to lie about a breeder. Yes, I did pay almost double of what Teresa paid for her, but it was the fact that my pup wasn't actually one of her pups and she showed me one of her dogs saying that was Sophies mom. Sophie actually came from a puppy mill in Missouri. However Soph is healthy and happy today. If I had known she came from Missouri I would not have purchased her! At least be honest with people as to where the pups came from and don't screw with the AKC paperwork! Yorkie Lov and Asian Woman!

Okay I apologize to everyone reading this post but I am just becoming more increasingly annoyed! If Teresa had even read the latest posts they are not even about her! She is extremely lucky I have not pursued legal action for fraud! The fact that she is even attempting to continue to respond acting as another user is hilarious. If she thinks that for even one minute I will not try to protect other Yorkie lovers so that this does not happen to them, then she is mistaken. She should actually try breeding the dogs she has or maybe grow an honest streak then maybe she could be a successful breeder!

We've seen quite a few people like that on this site who come on disguised as someone else. There are a few ex members who do the same thing. Most of the time people know who it really is.

The good thing about this site is we CAN talk about experiences & post about the good AND the bad.
