| Post your HIGHLY RECOMMENDED BREEDERS here! Is it just ME, or are there a lot of really sad stories going on right now telling folks not to buy a pup from this breeder or that breeder? Well, I thought it might be handy to start an informational thread about the GOOD ones!! I see people on here too, asking for recommendations. This would make it EASY! Here's a guideline: 1. Breeder Name/Kennel Name/ Home State 2. Breeder Address or website 3. Date you got your puppy 4. Why you chose the breeder 5. Describe your positive experiences. Thanks! Can't WAIT to see how this turns out!

| Great Breeder 1. Ponderosa 2. Home State- North Carolina 3. www.ponderosas.com 4. Got Chance this year in Feb 5. Tammy is a very loving a wonderful person to work with. I was on her waiting list for quite some time but I was willing to wait for one of her pups. We kept in contact by email regarding pups and I went in person to pick Chance up. Very informative and sent me home with just about everything that I could need for a pup. If I ever get another I'll be going here. If I had questions she was always willing to help. |

| 1. Stacy at Sylvan Yorkies in Eastern PA 2. http://sylvanyorkies.com 3. November 2005 4. Stacy has beautiful animals that were responsibly bred and raised in her home. They are very well socialized, healthy and have great temperaments. Stacy is always ready to help or answer questions no matter how mundane they might be. She's honest, ethical and always a pleasure to deal with. 5. After meeting on YT and spending several months exchanging emails and pictures, I finally got to meet Stacy and her gang when I went to her home to pick up The Widget. MeganS lives near me, so she went along with me. We both were in Yorkie heaven when we got to Stacy's home. All of her pups are raised 'under foot' and it was wonderful to see so many (I think total count including pups was around 15 when we were there) happy, healthy cuddly little Yorks in one place. BTW Glad, All the posts in YT's Groomer/Breeder Review section aren't bad!

| 1. Robbie Spaugh/Butterfly Yorkies/NC 2. http://www.butterflyyorkies.com 3. 4/2006 4. Because of her love for the breed. She was so passionate and willing to help and tell me everything that I needed to know. I was also very concerned with where her baby was going. 5. The day that I got to Robbies to pick Ty up I ended up staying the whole day. She taught me grooming tip and a bunch of other things. She had a care package ready for Ty and even a little something for me!! My whole family was invited into her home and we even had dinner there! She is a amazing woman and I will be doing business with her FOREVER in the future! |

| Just a little lady who loves yorkies! 1. Ruby Eddy, Florence Alabama 2. Florence, AL - No website that I know of 3. November 2004 4. I talked to a gal at Petco who got a yorkie from her and recommended her. And she was local! Plus her pups were not an arm and a leg - she charged $500 for males and $600 for females - AKC and CKC registered and very affordable I thought. I had been in contact with another breeder in this area who would not let me see the parents and would only deal with me thru a local flea market...I did not want to deal with her at all. 5. I contacted Mrs. Eddy about a pup. She said she did not take deposits on pups until they were born so I contacted her back on the due date. I had wanted a female but the litter only contained 4 males! So she invited me to come by and see them when they were a week old. I fell in love with every single one of them and placed my deposit for pick male. She let us see the parents and siblings from previous litters. When they were almost 8 weeks old, we were home for Thanksgiving (had been in Florida working hurricane claims) and she said that since I had raised puppies before, we could come on over and pick him out. So we did. She was very helpful in helping me pick just the right one...and the rest is history...WE LOVE OUR LITTLE OSCAR!!! She gave us a lot of good advice about tiny babies and was there when I had questions by phone. I would buy another from her in a heartbeat!

| 1. Nancy Whitehead, Duluth, MN 2. if you need address, pm me 3. 7/1/2005 (born 3/17/2005) 4. my husband picked one of her puppies for me. He said she was very knowledgable, her place was clean, and all the dogs were well cared for (both parents on side). 5. breeder kept Trixie until she was 14 wks old. Trixie got ALL of her shots except for rabies. Trixie was potty trained (outside) pretty much from the day I got her. She's very social, happy and very very very pretty. Breeder answers questions promptly. Very healthy puppies. Reasonable priced (we paid $650) If I'd get another puppy, and I'd still be in the area, I would definately go back to her!!! And I recommend her to anybody.

This is a good idea, I had thought about it too. The problem is, the ones who are getting taken are not members. They should have come to us first, but they don't know about us. But man I cannot believe all of the underhanded people out there, and as it was pointed out before, it is only going to get worse as the popularity grows. I wish we could get to these people first. | |

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | I Agree Jeanne...I WISH I had yorkie sites back when I was looking for my first yorkie - but then again - I wouldn't have Chanel....so in a way I'm glad I was ignorant back then. IF I KNEW THEN WHAT I KNOW NOW.... and we DO try to educate on this site. We may not reach everyone - but sometimes people are on her BEFORE they buy...so don't feel discouraged. |

| 1. Prarieview Kennel / Connie Schaub 2. Lennox, SD 3. http://www.prairieviewkennel.com/care.html 4. We picked Ollie up on February 18, 2005 5. I choose the breeder partly because of location, and because she had a 5 week old litter, and price. By some peoples standards, Prarie View would be considered a puppy mill. she has several breeds and she keeps them in buildings outside of the house. I found the dogs to be clean and well cared for, eventhough the mothers with babies were kept in cages. I also found Connie to be a very caring person. She knew her puppies well and monitored their progress carefully. At the time that I got Ollie, she only had two other females in cages one had a litter and one was ready to have one. She knew the breed standard and she answered all of my questions about her breeding program, and breeding in general. I believe there are puppy mills and then there are puppy mills . I would not hesitate to buy from her again. |

| 1. Crown Ridge / Loryn Bogren 2. Bonsall, CA 3. http://www.crownridgegems.com/ 4. Chachi was shipped to us on April 21, 2006 5. I chose Crownridge because she has the parti colored yorkies and because she was reccommended by several people. I did not like the location and having to ship Chachi, and her prices are high, but sometimes you do what you gotta do. I want to incorporate the parti colors into my breeding program and they are hard to find. I found Loryn to be extremely knowledgeable on breeding and genetics. I was not able to visit her personally. I spoke with her one the phone, and she told me that all of her dogs are kept in her house, and she cares for them personally with some part time help with the grooming. Since she was instrumental in getting the parti colored yorkies accepted by the AKC, and showed dogs for years, I trusted that she cared for her dogs. I have my name on a list to get another puppie from her. |
