I wouldn't recommend either breeder! I just learned Romeo actually was sold by Jennifer Cole but cam from Janet Miles in Alabama. I guess she is the actual breeder. I suppose that goes to show you can't always trust what people say...Jennifer said she was the breeder. My tips are always check the AKC banned breeder list (there is a Janet Miles on there...weird huh...think it might be the same woman in a different location???) research the breeder you buy from, always ask to see the parents, and well just be careful. I do believe there are good breeders out there! Many find them! I am still looking but I don't recommend using these! Unless you want lies and the risk of losing a baby! If I hadn't stayed with Romeo 24-7 bottle feeding, washing, cleaning, and medicating him he never would have made it. I was like his surrogate mommy. He was sooo young he had to be helped to go to the bathroom at times. So know who you deal with and watch who people on here reccommend! I think that is a better bet bacause people on here are helpful!

I also had a very bad experience with a breeder from Venus Texas, her name is LeeAnn Rost the kennel is PawPatch Puppies website is toycuties.com. I was sold a puppy with a congenital spinal deformity that killed her within about 12 week after the purchase. This breeder did nothing. She was sent Doctor statments & medical records but claimed her gaurantee was over at 72 hrs. You can file a report at ripoffreport.com that everyone can see when they research the kennel or the owners name. It's been a great tool for us.
I have 2 new babies now who are happy a very healthy that I purchase from a very reputable breeder!

When was the last time you heard of her being in business? I know she sold dogs to her son and he auctioned them off in March 2008. Have you heard of her selling any since then?

I just bought a baby yorkie from Familyyorkies.com
and this story that I just read about them.
Our girl is just under 2lbs at 9 weeks but now I'm thinking she is going to grow into a horse!
We just bought her today. It was a gift from my fiancee'.

Not to come off as curt but what more could you possibly want to know about others experiences? This thread has pages and pages of bad experiences.

At this point I think you should be less concerned about the size of your dog and more concerned that she is healthy and will remain healthy throughout her life.

I totally agree with you.
But for what I paid for her, for her to possibly grow to 18-22lbs in unfair.
I will love her no matter what but if I pay to own a certain size dog in my home, I should be getting exactly or close to what I paid for.

2lbs at 9wks--assuming she is really 9wks old-- will not be a huge dog. There are growth charts out on the web that can give you an idea of how big, more or less, she will be at adulthood. I cant think of the site offhand but I am sure there is a link to it is somewhere on YT.

I made the mistake of buying my first Yorkie (RIP) from them years ago. I was told he was 9wks (akc paperwork said 9wks old) old but my vet said he was no older than 5wks at the time he arrived--he was just barely getting his puppy teeth in. The Chaffins do not have a history of honesty.

Regardless, I wish nothing but the best for you and your little girl. May she be happy, healthy and bring you many wonderful years of companionship.

I'm confused. Did you buy your puppy from the familyyorkies.com website? From what I can tell, those people are out of Georgia. The Chaffins are out of Oklahoma. Did you have your puppy shipped to you or did you actually go see the facility? I would however be concerned as the website does not have any specific information like a city location or name of the people running the business.

I just bought a baby yorkie from Familyyorkies.com and this story that I just read about them. Our girl is just under 2lbs at 9 weeks but now I'm thinking she is going to grow into a horse! I will love her no matter what but if I pay to own a certain size dog in my home, I should be getting exactly or close to what I paid for. thats just my opinion.
