My Tiny Treasures Donating Member | I want to apologize for my use of language in my post ...as most know it's not me and I felt protective of my dogs. If anyone can understand and I'm sure you can't unless you are in my shoes .... But I can't have kids. These BabyDolls are my children. So any parents is going to come out unglued. Like I said. You would have to know me. I'm just tired of taking the passive approach and went off. I don't take back what I said but would like to apologize for my language. I was just a bit offended. 😏 |

| I didn't realize that prices were so high for Yorkies in other parts of the country. I got lucky with Bella :-). And I agree that Parti's are Yorkies and should be allowed to be shown in competitions. I'm sorry if I unwittingly opened an old wound with my comments about breed standards--I wasn't aware that it was a touchy issue. I've read some interesting evidence that the piebald gene (responsible for Parti color) has been present in the Yorkie gene pool at a low frequency from since the beginning of the breed. I'll write that up sometime in another thread when I find the time. |

| Well, I have not posted in a long time BUT I must about this post. I too have a Breny's Baby called Parker. Breny has gone beyond a breeders requirement with me. I chose a pup and put a deposit down. I could not get a peace about it and ask Breny if I could pick another. She was more concern that I got the pup that I felt was more to my heart connection than her money. She has been a huge help to me and loves to keep up with her babies. Everything you would want in a breeder. I know of other people that have her babies and it is almost like a community. We stay in touch at times and have at the center of all our love on this one thing. A breeder that cares and has quality pups. SHE CARES and I care about her. Just wanted everybody on this post to know. Her heart is bigger than a mere "word."

| <3 Her To the original poster (Amarie) I hope all the posts have shown you how deeply loved Breny's puppies are because they came to us pre-spoiled and have the hands down best temperaments that we can't help but love and admire Breny for giving us such amazing babies to love and cherish! My babygirl from Breny is my Bambi. She is 5 years old now, and is my pride and joy! I get complements on her sweet & friendly disposition and beauty everywhere we go, and it's because she started out in Breny's loving and nurturing home! Breny sent me pictures and videos weekly and was in constant contact with me while she was with the lady who flew with her to Va. I can tell you that Breny has become like a sister to me over the 7 years that I have known her and I am blessed to call her my friend. She is truly one of the most compassionate persons I have ever met and if you are blessed with one of her babies you will forever be grateful too because you will get a baby who started life with love and will want nothing more than to love you forever. I was about to turn 40 and have shared my whole life with various dogs of all sizes; mixes and pure breds, and they all had different temperaments, so when I decided on this one I wanted her to be my dream puppy and temperament and looks were a huge deciding point for me. I had seen and been watching Breny's other families posts and pictures over those two years (and even got to watch my bff's Breny baby grow for over a year), so I knew that her babies were amazingly tempered and loving! I adored the shorter muzzle and babydoll face that her Taii offered to his offspring on top of the gorgeous dark coloring Summer passed on of her too. I'm amazed daily that Bambi is mine...yes still, 5 years later! I could go on and on but bottom line is that those of us whom have a Breny Baby, we love Breny and have become life long friends with her through her love for her-our babies!!!!!! And as for breeding program, I beg Breny all the time to never stop Breeding Yorkies, yes I'm selfish, but also because her babies have given so much joy to so many families which is priceless! And Lord knows we need that now-a-days more than ever!!! PS: I only came out of the woodwork here because I seen this thread was about Breny, so I hope the picture of Bambi attaches so you can see how truly blessed I am to call her mine! Please, click on the different posters names on here who have commented and see their Breny babies on their walls too.

| I have been heartbroken over the recent loss of my 3year old boy only a few weeks ago and I have been looking a lot at online websites of breeders. I was drawn to Breny's page many times bc everything seems great! It's a shame that some people are bashing her over her choice to describe her dogs as "baby dolls". Personally I think that describes them perfectly! They are adorable. Her dogs are healthy and she clearly dedicates a lot of time and care into them from birth. What we should be doing is bashing the breeders that are producing dogs with genetic flaws like the breeder I got my precious Frankie from. I would gladly have paid double what I paid for him just to know he would be healthy and live a long life! I just told my husband 2 weeks ago that when I am ready to get another pup I have found the breeder that I wish to contact and that happens to be Breny. I also personally think her prices are well within he norm and like I said there is great value in investing in a dog that will be healthy and live a long life! Not what I went through with losing my 3 year old to a severe collapsed trachea. Just knowing that there won't be any underlying genetic issues is a huge plus! She produces quality dogs and for someone like myself who has gone though losing my little boy due to careless breeding, I am so grateful to have found her! | I must say that I've followed Breny's breeding program for years. The dedication she shows to her dogs is complete! She has beautiful lines and I hope to one day have a Breny puppy.

| This thread has become such a hot potato! I don't own a Breny Yorkie and I don't know much about breeding, but that's why I decided to become a member here - to learn more from others with a lot of experience. I can understand how the heat and defensiveness started when Breny was the topic of judgement due to the use of the term babydoll - I think anyone would feel hurt if they were the topic of criticism and would feel defensive. I can also understand the skeptical side of things from others, who don't know enough, who are all paranoid of the bad breeders out there using this term. Coming from someone who doesn't know that much about breeding, the term babydoll does raise flags, simply because of the number of unethical BYBs and puppymills out there. At the end of the day though, it really is about reputation. If Breny has such a big reputation of producing healthy pups, based on the number of happy families and other reputable breeders' opinions, then it really is her prerogative to use the term, despite the 'negative' connotations that may be associated with. Not that my opinion matters, but it would be easier if the term wasn't used by a good breeder. Because by using it, it just gets confusing to those who are passionate, but may not know enough; it may seem like "you're one of them" to the ignorant. I think that's what most of us are thinking. But again, it's totally Breny's prerogative to use whatever term preferred. And last, it's upsetting to hear that many of the good breeders have left the forum due to the breeder bashing. I really hope that the rest of us non-breeders can respect those who are reputable, be cognisant of the fact that we're all here to learn, just have calm discussions and make it a positive learning experience here. I really hope the good breeders here can try to be forgiving and patient with some of us inexperienced and ignorant members. Please stay

| P.S. Thanks for explaining why smaller Yorkies are more expensive! I've always wondered why because from a pet owner's perspective, it seems that smaller = more popular = higher cost. The care and attention required totally makes sense! They are so much more fragile!

| Breny is amazing, and her "babydolls" are great dogs I also own a "babydoll" from Breny.. Her name is Gemma Jayne (1.5 years old) and she is by far the best dog in every way possible. Great disposition, very healthy, well behaved and sweetest pup with so much love to give. My Vet here in Walpole, MA made sure I contacted Breny after our first visit with Gemma to compliment her on how well and perfect she is! Everywhere we go Gemma is the center of attention and people ask for Breny's information. Breny goes above and beyond for all of her puppies, I always can contact her via fbook, text messages etc about any questions or advice I may need from her. She loves getting updates and pictures of Gemma just like she does with any of her pups. I HIGHLY recommend purchasing a pup from Breny. I myself am going to be getting another one very soon because of the wonderful experience I have with Gemma. I also have a silky terrier that I got from a different breeder 10 years ago who has had a lot of issues so I was nervous getting another but after speaking with Breny for a while and getting updates and awesome reviews from previous babydoll owners I went through with it and got Gemma... AND I COULDN'T BE HAPPIER, Gemma is perfect in every single way possible!!! So please if anyone would like to email me for a reference feel free, my email is GriffinCB326@gmail.com I promise that you will be so over the moon happy with a pup from Breny! ~ Cort, Griffin Noah and Gemma Jayne (We cannot wait for our next little girl from Breny) :-) |
