As to your comment about the puppy mill personality, it is not so prevalent in the puppies. You see it in the poor dams and sires who live to make money for these breeders. They are damaged for life....they get better in time but they are never like pups who are obtained as puppies and loved.

Great post, while it's possible to get a healthy dog with a great personality from a puppy mill, I'm against puppy mills because of the conditions they keep the breeding dogs. Why buy from a breeder who breeds for profit when there are so many breeders that breed for the right reasons? They must have a real love for the breed, otherwise, they won't do all the required health testing or care for the dogs properly. If you are looking for a Yorkie, I suggest you check out the Yorkshire Terrier Club of America, if you are looking for a Biewer, I suggest you check out Deb, who is a member here by the name of bchgirl.
