I also bought a tiny Yorkie aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand when I took her to be checked out by the vet,he told me and she also had a cold. The breeder paid for everything, she had the hernia fixed when I had her spayed at 6 months and she never had any problems, she lived until 13. Let me know how you make out. Best of Luck, Claire

Thank you so much for your kind condolences on the loss of my sweet Sydney. It was 20 months on the 28th of October, and I still miss her so much. I am so very sorry that your husband has kidney failure and heart problems. May I ask, is he waiting for a transplant? If you will tell me his 1st name, I will add him to my prayer list, and also to my church's Book of Prayers. The Book is held up at all Masses mass's on the weekend, and the entire congregation prays for the people who's names are in the Book. I am so sorry that you have lost 3 Yorkies to kidney failure. I lost my 1st Yorkie to kidney failure when she 13. And my tiny Kia was diagnosed in early renal failure in mid-July. She will be 14 in December. So far, she is doing well on a homemade renal failure diet. But, she withdrew from me a few months after she was diagnosed. She slept on my pillow, her entire life. Now, she prefers to sleep in the dining room. And she doesn't even want to sit on the couch with me anymore. Your tiny Yorkie lived to be 13 with kidney failure? That is amazing! And you got her from a caring breeder, since she paid for everything, including the hernia repair. I was disappointed, at first, not getting the puppy from Kathy Weems, but other people have pointed out to me, that since she didn't even tell me when we spoke on the phone, that the puppy had two inguinal hernias, and they are congenital, and she refused to cover the cost to repair them, that if the puppy developed any genetic health problems, I may have problems with her standing behind her health guarantee. I am still puzzled to this day, as to why she refused to cover the cost, since the hernias are congenital. I guess I'm fortunate that she showed them to me, because I would never have thought to look for them. Sheila | |
