| Birdhouseranch She needs to post her side publically. Atleast defend herself. or try. We have seen mistakes made by those with good intentions before. We've aslo seen on this board the right thing to do. Just saying there's a fine line from a true fight for yorkies to a witch hunt. I don't think this is a witch hunt. If it looks like a duck and acts like a duck it's a duck or a really good squeaky toy. Last edited by TyraandMrJ; 05-12-2009 at 04:35 AM. |

| I am new to this forum. That in itself doesn't make my post any less truthful. I was phoned by a dear friend yesterday who was horrified by the post here. I remembered words my Mother spoke - Angry words oh let them never from my tongue unbridled slip. I thought perhaps this was some kind of mistake. Here's what I know: Slander is a type of defamation. Slander is an untruthful oral statement about a person that harms the person's reputation or standing in the community. Because slander is a "tort" ( a civil wrong) the injured person can bring a lawsuit against the person who made the false statement. If the statement is made via broadcast media for example tv or radio it then is considered "libel" rather than slander because it has the potential to reach a much wider audience. GEE, the internet reaches a very wide audience don't you think??? I love this breed. I always have. I purchased my Yorkie from Birdhouse Ranch and later (last year) purchased number two. My guys are happy and healthy. After reading your thread I am also horrified at your statements. There are no cages or kennels. Like many of you, I was a very picky buyer. I did my homework. I talked to many breeders in my area and out of state before I bought. There wasn't anything at Birdhouse Ranch that said she was a disreputable breeder. NOTHING. Instead, I was met by someone whom I now call friend. She was extremely informational, caring, and honest. I saw her AKC inspection report before I bought years ago. This was and is not a puppy mill. I also met some of her family, her dogs, and her VET. She introduced me to him when I had my first Vet check. All of her dogs are Vet cared for. Isn't that where you met her Amanda350??? You all asked for PROOF - well, here i AM. A satisfied customer and friend of Birdhouse Ranch. Not only has Amanda350 ignored the rules of this community, but she has also committed libel. How sad. Obviously, this is very upsetting. Does the American way truly say that you are guilty until proven innocent? I don't think so. |

| much adoo This thread is only a day old so waiting for an expanded fact finding, in short as others stated Birdhouseranch's response. Perhaps busy caring for their critters? I can only visit forums from time to time and often just to browse/learn (lurk sounds so suspicious), anyway appreciate that members may not be able to respond for a day/week, etc. Checked out BH web-site, seems prelim, some interesting links (suggesting some interest in dog aibou) but curious this forum not listed yet? Testimonial's under construction. My .02, this is a gaping priority marketing area that should be addressed and well a bit suspect if a 15yr old Co. without testimonials. Though there are plenty of shills in cyber-land so even with testimonials hard to tell, thus need some objective validation where possible, forums like this provide some historical and personal perspective. Photo-editing aside, photo/video as the saying goes "worth a thousand words". I have seen scant proof from either side. Though Amanda offering more credible stories, how about some substantive corroboration e.g. Vet statements, pictures of filthy dog b4 rescue etc... Most folks have cameras, to capture our beloved moments, so such insinutations should be relatively easy to show. Unless there is some kind of camera phobia I am unaware? Regardless this is a great forum to share info on our shared love of dogs in perticlular YT. |

| There are always two sides to a story... The OP proved her story by showing us a poor little girl she RESCUED from a "breeder" that had no problem breeding a tiny yorkie, selling her before her stitches were healed and not gving her the proper care as shownby the lack of cleaning. I personally don't think iwould ever buy from a person that had such disregard for a life, and I know my YT family feels the samProof is not coming on here and posting because many times it is the very same person ("breeder"). And by the way, you won't get any where is court if it is all true...that only applies if it is false.

| I am not on anyone's side, but I am on all the Yorkie's side. So I am just thinking out loud here.... As stated already, Amanda has been here for some time and has never mentioned this breeder's name. She has not shown to be a person that slanders, or she would have done a better job before in my opinion. Now this breeder and her friend come on and say the Amanda is a liar and is slandering her. How do we even know that Yorkshires4Me is even a customer? These people come out of nowhere and expect people to trust them here? What Amanda did was post what she believes is true from her experience. She is protecting her friends here from having a terrible experience as best I can tell. Again, I don't know either of these parties, these are just my observations. Last edited by ParrotLady; 05-12-2009 at 07:14 AM. |

| Take a look at the site. The pad the pups are photographed on is filthy. Not a very good presentation. |

| Health issues any breeder who will only put a 48 hour health quartnee on a puppy is not a good breeder period. Sorry but parvo can be gotten at a breeder and take 5 to 8 days to show up. Same with other dog dieases. So a person buys a puppy from this breeder or any breeder and has it shipped that almost takes away your 48 hours right there. Her statement in her clauses are LIFE THREATENING in a 48 hour period by your vet. No monies back, just a new pup.
