| I bought a pup form Glenda and I also would buy another in the future. The personality and look of the pup I got was fantastic and finished in just 3 shows! Her personality is the tops - very outgoing and rules our house. She is absolutely gorgeous! It is very difficult for pups to tavel and you do not know how they are treated while in transit. I had one that was shakin in her crated and took her months to not be so shy. This one was not form Glenda, but another breeder, but shows you how traveling in cargo can be tramadic. I will only transfer in the cabin now with a friend I hire. The look of the pup can get rough from travel. So give your baby a nice warm bath and he will also feel better. It will give you also a chance to see how he really looks after being blown dryed. It is not good to keep the poop on his bottom either - he can make him sore back there. So he needs to get that off. I also take lots of photos of my pups and see how one pup can look so different in amny shots. I choose the cutest ones that appeal to me. Glenda is very nice and I think that you should have contacted her first before getting on YT and possibly ruining her reputation. You should have talked to her first before jumping to conclusions. Also there was a show in OK over the weekend and she may have just missed your call due to coming home, bathing dogs, etc... We are very busy after a show. I knew she would try to contact you, so wait to talk to her. Thanks, T. Last edited by topknot; 11-05-2008 at 07:15 AM. |

| There could have been a mixed up - she may have had another person deliver the pups to the airport for her, since there was a show this past weekend and got them mixed up. Teh airport could have also mixed up the pups, if she was bringing two to the airport at the same time. So slow down and talk with Glenda first. |

| Here is a great example - Same pup, but just two photos. They look like a different puppy, but it is the same boy. This is not even the best to show how different one pup can look. Even I have been blown away how the camera can make them look so different. T. |

| Sounds like a mix up somewhere if the size and color are different, the airplane ride won't change those things, they may have taped the wrong cargo packet to the wrong crate if two were shipped the same day?

She may have gotten the right dog. We just have to wait and hope all comes out okay. I am sure just misunderstanding. T.

| Please keep us posted on the outcome. I'm also considering bringing home another furbaby. BTW, where is she shipping from? I hope everything works out.

| It doesn't sound like to me her reputation is ruined. Everyone here is standing up for her.

Put yourself in the OP's position. You paid good $$ and are sent pictures of a pup that you fall in love with. Then after waiting and paying your hard earned $$ you get a dog that looks a bit ratty and so not like the dog you paid for and looks a lot bigger than the pup in the pictures you were sent. Then you try to contact the breeder and you get no response. Then you go that extra mile and contact the breeders vet and you get a recommendation of "that sure sounds like you had a dog switch on you"...how honestly would you feel. Personally I would have been as anxious as she was and worried. I don't really feel that she said anything too crazy being as after speaking the vet and her initial observation the pup seemed to be a different one. I think as long as she posted the correct information on here after squaring it away and apologizing for being frantic all should be fine.

You do not go on a public forum, that when this breeders name is googled it will shows this thread. Yes it does raise questions for those who don't know this breeder. Some people might not even read the whole thread and at that point make a judgement about the breeder. Yes, she could loose sales and reputation ruined because of this post. The reason that everybody stands up for her is that she has never done anything like what is being claimed. If I were Glenda, I would ask for the dog back. This lady might not be the right owner for "a dog". I have not seen a retraction of her statements, but she has kept very quiet. Why is that? Was she wrong? People like this make reputable breeders quit selling their quality dogs. In the end WE loose!

If you re-read her first post it clearly said she contacted her by emial and got no response. When Glenda did contact her she was in the middle of something with the pup so that was why she didn't get on the call with her immediately. I understand that people will read here and I think it would be proper for the OP to post an update and apologize for what was an understanding. The thing is that it's not all solved yet as she never posted whether it was the right dog. There is a lot of confusion there and hopefully the OP comes on and updates it. I understand that folks might not read the whole post. It will happen. I think one iffy review won't spoil someone's reputation because if they are are way more happy customers it weighs in their favor. By the way as I said I only posted to show the other side of the coin in this situation. I have nothing invested in any of this.

Bizzymammabee - Oh, I would be worried too, if it had been me and thinking of all those things you hear about bad breeders switching, etc... So the OP had every right to be scared and worried, maybe thinking she did get the wrong dog. But let's just look back at her first message.. * She just got back from the airport * and sometimes it does take people time to email back - we all are not waiting by the computer. I just think she should have said what a minute - lets check this all out first and calm down. She should have come home, washed the baby (especially since he had dirty pants), taken him to the vets, and talked to Glenda first, before posting. At least just wait a day before you post a message. I have met and known people before that jump to conclusions and get everything topsy durpsey and then realize everything was okay in the end. My mother was exactly like this. I am not saying this OP did anything worng, exact that she should have just waited a tat bit longer before posting. We are here to help and listen and I know that we all want comfort and reassurance, so many of us run to YT for help. I am not saying not to do this. I hope I am making sense and do not want to get anyone mad or feel bad. That is not my intentions or I do not want to make the OP feel bad in any way. This forum is a public forum and very large - it goes out to millions of people. One must be careful of what they say and do on here. And there is a lot of talk that goes on behind closed doors as well - some people just love to talk, even if it is not correct. Something like this could start rumors and you guys know what I mean. That is all I wanted to say and hope it came out friendly. I am sure this all was just a misunderstanding and everything will be cleared up soon. All my best to you OP too and hope everything gets better. Please let us know how it all turned out. We are also here for you too. I just know from my own experience that Glenda was great with me and I got a fabulous baby from her that I am very proud of. My baby is my love and I do not know what I would do without her. She is very special! She did become a champion in just 3 weekends of showing. She is also my pillow buddy. She was everything Glenda said she was and I do know quite a few other people that have bought from Glenda and they are all gorgeous. T.

Donating YT 10K Club Member | I believe nothing should've been posted prior to talking to the breeder. It's not like it had been DAYS without any contact. Personally I think another thread with an update and public apology is also in order.

| MODS: Please close this thread OP already stated yesterday after his/her evening appointment that his/her vet confirmed that it was a puppy afterall and not 13 MONTHS old as Glenda's vet had told him/her. You all have to understand that they were probably playing phone tag and it wasn't that anyone was dissing the other. Like someone else said, not everyone sits by the computer or able to answer the phone at that very minute. OP's appt at vet wasn't til later in the day, but in the meantime he/she was freaking out based on what Glenda's vet had told him/her. I would too. It's natural. After OP came back from the vet, he/she was going to contact Glenda after he/she finished typing his/her post update and then try to calm the furbie down from being so scared in a new environment. I'm sure OP has been in contact with Glenda now, and everything was a big misunderstanding and he/she is enjoying his/her new furbaby. MODS: Close this thread. It's over. Everyone's happy. |
