| Usually you breed around the 10th and 12th days but the truth is the male knows exactly when it's time and he can't count. She should take the female to the studs home as soon as she begins to flag and may be there for a week. We breed every other day to get 2, sometimes 3 ties.

| I think 12 to 14 days sounds about right, but I'm no breeder. Hopefully one of them will come on and tell you exactly what you need to know.

Day 10 from the onset of bleeding. Skip a day and breed again. Here's the Heat Time Frame. Week 1 Swealing Week 2 Showing of Color Week 3 Breeding Time (usually on the 10th day from the onset of color) Glad you tried to talk sense into her. Yes, female does have to go to the stud's house. No, they shouldn't spend the entire night together. Breeding should be assisted and they shouldn't be left to their own devices. A female could render a male crippled.....in other words hurt his penis and never be able to stud again. Both should be held during the process. Only allowed to breed once on each day. Skipping a day allows the male sperm to build up again.
