read what Kelly sent me Hello again, And, thank you for taking the time to confirm what I was already feeling about this Breeder. In my case, I emailed Liz from Puppyfind.com as a result of all the positive reviews posted about her. My inquiry was regarding "Liza" - A female Biewer Terrier that was tracking to be too small for breeding. Here's the original add: http://www.puppyfind.com/view_listin...2526page%253D1 She promptly responded that she was still available to include her adoption price, shipping cost and her phone number. During our first conversation, I asked brief questions regarding the puppy's birth date, weight, parent's weights, if they were German Registered, what clubs was she a member of, health warranty, etc. Although Liz quickly stated that the puppy would come with a two year health guaranty, she was not able to promptly respond regarding the puppy's age. She was seemingly fumbling through piles of papers and finally advised that the puppy was 3 1/2 to 4 months old and weighed 2.0lbs. She also stated that she could have the puppy sent to me as early as that very next Thursday without asking me about my home life or for any references. When it came to receiving a response regarding the registry used, she quickly stated "I don't have time to wait for those German papers. I register my puppies through BYA but the parents came from Germany." It is my thought that the offspring should be able to be registered through the same registry as the parents with the exception being issues on the part of the Breeder with the Registry such as suspension, etc. This would somewhat explain the need to register through such a newly formed Registry. Here's the link: (http://www.geocities.com/bieweryorki...tion/?200727); I have nothing against BYA; but I prefer my puppy to be registered through IBC. I thought all of this to be rather odd in that a reputable and caring Breeder is not only very picky about where they place their babies but registrations are definitely not addressed in such a haphazard manner. We did have a couple more conversations after the first and each one left me a little more concerned. She kept stating that she could send her to me within a few days and that the only way she could be sent was through Continental Airlines, etc. I just never felt at ease with sending her a deposit for the puppy. And, then your review recently appeared. Thank you again for confirming what I already felt Kelly

| There are MANY different registries that you can use for Biewers. My babies will be registered with the IBC. They all have thier pros and cons and if you get into the Biewers be aware that there is DRAMA at every turn. That includes even where you register your pups.

I have a question and since I don't really know any Biewer folks on a personal level to contact and ask I thought I'd just ask here since there are some... I read on a biewer site and I qoute "don't be fooled into believing that biewers are not yorkshire terriers" and then..."biewers are 5-12 lbs in size, there are NO other specified size catergories in any registry" I don't know alot about biewers, other than they are quite lovely and I have mostly read on here in the past about them. What I do know is yorkies. And standard yorkshire terriers shouldn't exceed 7 lbs. So why is this? Why did they morph into a larger size than what they originated from? I'm confused!! Help me

1. It does not take very long to get registration papers from IBC in Germany. I usually have mine within 10 days. IBC is going to cost her more than BYA, so I think it is a money issue. Or she has used dogs that IBC will not accept into their registry 2. Liz emailed a friend of mine that she did not know and bashed her puppies (my friend's). Liz told my friend that her puppies were not meeting Biewer standards. (They do meet standard. Liz would change what was wrong each time she would email. Most of what she said did not go along with the pictures that had been posted on the ad.) 3. Liz has at least 3 breeds she sells, (maybe more I cannot remember for sure.) that I have seen advertised on PuppyFind (Puppymill??) 4. Yes, Biewers are from yorkies and the size standard is the same. There are Yorkies out there over 7 pounds, but that does not make them not yorkies. Just like having a bad bite does not make them not yorkies. It is a fault against the standard. 5. If your Biewer is not registered with a German registry, you might not be able to register their offspring in Germany. IBC is going as far to say that any Biewers born in the USA not registered with the IBC will not be able to be registered offspring with the IBC. I would not buy a Biewer without German registration and if it was born in the USA it would have to have IBC registration. 6. Liz does not show her Biewers for what that is worth. (I feel that if you are truly trying to better a breed then you will show your dogs.) Again, probably a money issue, as it does cost quite a bit to show your dogs. If she can get top prices without showing then why show? I do raise and show Biewers and a few yorkies. I would be happy to talk with anyone wanting more information. I by no means know all there is to know, but I am learning EVERY day! To gain knowledge is one reason I joined this forum. Plus I love to talk about my babies (dogs)

thanks for your time sharing Hello , I am so glad I posted here. You have all been so nice & caring. I hope to get to know you better. I love my pets with all my heart. I hope to help other people from being taken by people like Liz . Who shows one picture of a puppy or dog ,of one name & age and then trys to deliver a difference one. I think there is a name for breeders like Liz. If anyone has anymore information about Liz James of rustyspups@aol.com http://www.petsonsale.com/members/rusty203/ please feel free to let me know. I wish we could start something on line to tell people about the breeders that take advantage of people and the pets. Have a Blessed Day
