1. It does not take very long to get registration papers from IBC in Germany. I usually have mine within 10 days. IBC is going to cost her more than BYA, so I think it is a money issue. Or she has used dogs that IBC will not accept into their registry
2. Liz emailed a friend of mine that she did not know and bashed her puppies (my friend's). Liz told my friend that her puppies were not meeting Biewer standards. (They do meet standard. Liz would change what was wrong each time she would email. Most of what she said did not go along with the pictures that had been posted on the ad.)
3. Liz has at least 3 breeds she sells, (maybe more I cannot remember for sure.) that I have seen advertised on PuppyFind (Puppymill??)
4. Yes, Biewers are from yorkies and the size standard is the same. There are Yorkies out there over 7 pounds, but that does not make them not yorkies. Just like having a bad bite does not make them not yorkies. It is a fault against the standard.
5. If your Biewer is not registered with a German registry, you might not be able to register their offspring in Germany. IBC is going as far to say that any Biewers born in the USA not registered with the IBC will not be able to be registered offspring with the IBC. I would not buy a Biewer without German registration and if it was born in the USA it would have to have IBC registration.
6. Liz does not show her Biewers for what that is worth. (I feel that if you are truly trying to better a breed then you will show your dogs.) Again, probably a money issue, as it does cost quite a bit to show your dogs. If she can get top prices without showing then why show?
I do raise and show Biewers and a few yorkies. I would be happy to talk with anyone wanting more information. I by no means know all there is to know, but I am learning EVERY day! To gain knowledge is one reason I joined this forum. Plus I love to talk about my babies (dogs) |
