yes, they were gorgeous. This MIGHT be the last litter for those two. I think I am only going to breed kandy one more time before I retire her and I THINK she might get a new boyfriend for that one. But, on the other hand, if it ain't broke, don't fix it and kandy and Ceeby have awesome puppies.

My girl is growing, growing. She is beginning to be miserable and very needy. We are not due until the 25th and supposedly, only three puppies.

Easy had her pups today! Well, we now have 4 new babies! 3 boys and 1 girl. They are all beautiful - nice thick shiny coats and soooo cute. All went well. She started around 3AM scratching the pillows in bed with us, spo went went in the liveing room so hubby could sleep. First pup didn't a[[ear until 3:43 PM. I was starting to get a bit worried. But she did great. I gave her some vanilla ice cream during labor and chicken noodle soup right after (as someone recommended) and she looks so much better this time. Well, just wanted to let you all know. T.

Thank you both so much. Yes, I am doing well too, just a bit sore from sitting on the floor. I need to invent a different whelping bed that is higher up. LOL The babies are so cute - fat and sassy! I am so glad the breeding worked. My older male (the sire) is champion sired and his lines are Fairytales, Clarkwyn, and Jentres. I was so glad not to loose his lines. They should have great silky coats, color, and soundness. The puppies grandparents were gorgeous too. I will be keeping my fingers crossed, for some very nice pups and maybe a show hopeful. Here are some photos of some other pups my male has sired. T.

I just got through taking pictures. I will place them in the nursery in a few minutes. They are not fancy, but at least you can see. I had pillows and a blancket down and was on a rug. Still my muscles ache today. They weigh from 3 oz. smaller male, 4 oz. for the other two males, and 5 oz. for the one female - today. T.

Use to do that, and found that by raising the grate on the puppy play pen I didn't have to bend as far. Another fellow exhibitor actually places a huge comforter on her bed and whelps there.

Mary, I thought about the whelping the litter on my own bed, but hubby didn't like the idea. Don't know why - we have 4 sleeping with us everynight now. I have a whelping bed (plactic square bed about 2 ft each side long and about 6 inches high) which sits on a roller frame. I love it. Great for raising a litter. Easy to clean. Room for mom and smaller bed to go in and still room around for mom to get out and relax and room for pee pad for mom. I just wish it was higher. I need to have my husband make a frame that it can fit in that is waist high. He is really good with woodworking, so I know he can do it. T. Photos are up in Nursery section.
