| Please be careful scheduling a day. I strongly do not recommend it (JMO). It's best to let her go into labor, then do it. Otherwise, the c-section could be done to early and the puppy could die. It happens all the time. I haven't read you're story yet, but I will. May I ask here, what is the weight of the parents? BTW, sorry to hear she has to have a section. Oh, I see she weighs 4 + pounds. | your girl might be able to have the puppy. she is smaller than most but one of my girls was 4lbs and the other 4 and 1/2. the four pounder needed a C-section the other didn't. But, my vet strongly dislikes scheduling the C-sections. he prefers you have him on standby and see if she can have it herself. but, i agree with mardelin, the one puppy will get pretty large. my little girl that had the section only had two large pups. i had another girl that weighed seven pounds, two puppies and also had to have a section. not because the puppy was too big tho. other issues. Good luck. |

| I hope she make it thru all of this and that you learn from it and have her spayed. I'm very sorry she was put in this dangerous situation. She deserves better. |

| Thanks but no thanks for your comment. Like I said it was An ACCIDENT!!! IF you read my other post you can read how it happened. I normally kept them apart. NOT THAT I SHOULD have to explain my self... but here it goes... I ALREADY made it clear to the Vet that I wanted her Spayed after her C-section was done. This post was for help.. Not sarcasim

| Well here it goes... I am set up to be able to keep them apart. I took Peaches for a walk as did my daughters take their Yorkies as well. Our Yorkies walked along the side of the pond and we then noticed there were some spritz of Poison Ivy growing there. In fear that it had got on there fur we took them home for a bath so that I would not get it because I am severley allergic to it. My Oldest daughter took her Boy Yorkie in one bathroom I took Peaches in the OTHER bathroom. My oldest daughter was then towel drying the Boy, Rascal on her lap in the Living Room. I went to say something to my other daughter after Peaches was finished her bath... I opened the door up slightly to say something but that quick she jetted out.. Rascal jumped off her lap and on to Peaches... My daughter hollered but to late... They were Tied. I think LOADS of ppl on here would agree that could happen to anyone.. Even one who is as PERFECT as YOU! I have a downstairs that I normaly keep Peaches during her season >>> While I was researching, Studying and deciding b4 I made the decision whether I wanted to attempt in Breeding or NOT.

| I think she was looking for answers to her questions and not a lecture. I really hate it when someone comes on to ask a question and gets lectured instead. We all make mistakes and I am sure she feels bad enough already without the additional comments. |

| No problem. It gets to the point sometimes that breeders are afraid to ask anything for fear they are going to get ripped apart. It isnt right and it happens all of the time. |

| problem Don't beat yourself up...it happens...at least it is another Yorkie. LOL I had a poodle I was boarding get to one of my girls a long time back. I had no clue she was in season, no visible signs...no clue two "Porkies" were on their way for about 6 weeks..we were teasing Tess for being so fat.. I gave one to my daughter, "Murphy Brown" was a delight for 13 yrs...and I put an ad in the county paper for the male, $150..through the ad I made a life long friend..we have gone to the NY shows many times..she called her boy "Darby"..I called him "Road Kill" because when he laid down his was very flat... I write all this because the minute you point your finger at anothers mistake, watch out, you are due for a doozy yourself! Best wishes...plan a section or perhaps you can find a vet who will be available..I do prefer they start labor, but it is not always possible. |
