I just took Phoebe's temp it is 98.9. The thermometer is a new digital one, cheap, but it still should be accurate right??. She is kind of moppy today, not eating and staying in her bed. It is too soon for puppies to survive on day 54 or 55! I am getting nervous what should I do take her to the vet, or see if temp goes back up???????

I wouldn't be too concerned with that temp reading. Stormy's temp went down to 98.8 four days before she gave birth to her puppies. It went up and down for those 4 days. Keep a close eye on her and try to keep her calm.

Here's a picture of Stormy's puppies that were born Aug. 10. The little guy that was born with his intestines out, passed away last night.

Here are the other 5.

Wow, you must feel the pressure now, my Tinkerbell isn't scratching yet but I did noticed that she shaped her blanket into a hole

I think she is nesting.

Thank you, That makes me feel better

I will keep a close eye on her. She is scheduled for repeat xrays on Monday to see how many babies. How is Stormy and her babies doing?

Stormy's puppies are beautiful, and look very healthy. I am so sorry the little boy did not make it.

Again, I am so very sorry to hear about your little boy.
It's just so devastating when we lose one of our precious babies.

Be sure you let us know how the xrays go. I just love seeing all the new little babies! Stormy is doing ok. She's been picky about eating so I've been trying everything that I can think of and things that ryorkies has told me to try. She finally ate quite a bit last night.

Let us know how the temp goes.

LOL!! I just had to laugh about Tinkerbell shaping her blanket into a hole!! I can just imagine it. Weird but Stormy didn't do any nesting. She started with the digging and tearing up the blankets when she went into labor. Oh, and she's a screamer

I've been having "nightmares" about her labor, like the other night I had a dream where she had 4 puppies but one looked like an ugly chihuahua( Ilike chihuahuas but not this one) with long skinny legs and dots all over and the other 3 had cat heads and they were all white??

When I woke up I was so scared

and make things worse Tinkerbell wanted nothing to do with them

Stormy is the only one that I've had so far that was a screamer. They're all different.

Sounds like your fears are coming out in your dreams. Both of you will do just fine. Try to stay calm for her sake. I know that's easier said than done because we all go thru that when puppies are on the way.

Thank You, My friends think I am having those dreams because I Love her so much that I am afraid of what my happen to her

I have faith thou that she will be ok

I agree with Char, she will be looking towards you for comfort and support, which is what she needs the most right now. Staying calm is the best thing you can provide for her right now.

Thanks ladies, I will do that for her, even if it kills me to see her in pain. I was extra nervous because my husband who is in the military was supposed to leave for training on the 21st of Aug

but yesterday he told me that he is leaving as late as the 27th YAY

I can identify with the relief you must be feeling knowing that you will have some support. My husband was supposed to go on a business trip the week that Penny was due and I was trying very hard not to panic. I have whelped alone in the past, but not by choice and this time there were..... 6! Thank goodness he was home to help.
Also, it is just so nice to share this special time with someone special
