Best of luck on your upcoming litter. Be sure to research the web and archives here, and get prepared to act on signs of something going wrong. Know how to smoothly help mom birth those babies and when all goes well, count it a blessing. You'll both do great.

I am so excited for you and I have to say that being prepared is such a confidence booster. I spent all my time on the internet looking for all the information I could find, and what I couldn't find ... I asked other breeders that I knew. I wish that I had known about YT then, as it is so reassuring to know that someone is in your corner ready to help... and when those puppies come in the wee hours of the morning ( as they inevitably do ) it is nice to know that when you sign on to YT there is usually a friendly person ready to help.

Congratulations and I look forward to hearing all about your puppies when they arrive !

Well, it looks like we may have had a false start! or else Twinkles just had a bad case of diarhhea that caused her to have some braxton hicks contractions....... (and made Grampy and I lose a night's sleep). She is resting in her whelping box and all is quiet. I am exhausted....... trying to get rest for the next round of excitement.

Thanks to everyone who was awake and sent messages of encouragement last night. It was comforting to know there was someone at the other end of the YT Forum..... As much as I have read (maybe too much, or just enough to scare myself to death) and as prepared as I feel I am, when it came right down to it, I was powerless over the whole situation. The one thing I did do right was to keep calm and not go crazy.... and I did a lot of praying.

More later when there is something to report beside POOP!

lynn, if i were you, i would start a new thread so that people can see it and answer any questions you may have. i have not looked at this thread since the beginning of it. a lot of expert breeders will probaby miss it if you keep it here.

So ladies, It's getting closer by the minute and my heart is racing, I have one question?? Tinkerbell as you all know is my baby and is super spoiled, well now she sleeps with me as of last night, when she was laying with me last night I felt one of the baby, more like seeing it, like forming a little body, I could actually see the shape of the little body, OMG I wanted to cry I am just so happy Have you ever had this happened? Is this normal, I can feel bones and stuff LOL, I just wanted to share that and to let you all know we only have about 7 days left

It is unbelieveable It makes me remember when I was pregnant with my beautiful kids and that special feeling only moms know, and feel She makes me so happy, only YTers would understand .

I know what you mean. Twinkles is lying on the couch next to me -- tongue hanging out, paningting and looking like a helium balloon that is two weeks old. The pups are going crazy - looks like they are moving furniture in there. I can't wait to meet them... I hope they have her personality.... with a little of Ollie's kookie, wild ADHD thrown in for good measure.

She normally weighs 5 lbs but when we went to the ER last night they weighed her and she was 10 pounds! Her Grampy calls her little wide sides..... She has the cutest little waddle when she walks. Only now she can hardly walk.

This is such a special time. The anticipation is something that just adds to all the wonder and excitement. Feeling those little precious babies move around is just the most wonderful feeling and to think ...they will be here soon WoW !

Phoebe's temp was 99.2 last night and now for the last 1/1/2 hrs has been 98.6. She is not acting like her normal self. She is just laying in her bed, looking at me, she will wag her little tail , but that is it. Do you think she is in early labor. I am on my way to work for a few hrs, but am afraid to leave her alone. Do you think is would be ok for no more than 3 hours. I am excited and nervous at the same time I can't wait to see our babies

How are things now? Her temp seems to be pointing towards going into labor. I'm always afraid to leave them alone any amount of time at this stage. Things can happen so fast. Usually tho if you sit and watch it doesn't happen. But turn your back and WHAM!
