Thank you ALL so much for all the encouragement and prayers. I definately feel the prayers for the little guy. He seems to be getting stronger. He will latch on, but won't stay on unless I hold his little head on. It's like his suction isn't strong enough. I will just hold him on a teat all night if I have to. I'm so scared I'll lose him in the night tonight.

It sounds like he just may not be strong enough right now for sufficient feedings. I agree, tubing him would be best. I hope they teach you. It's easy to do and has saved many a pups lives who can't suck at all. And there are those that are small and will benefit because they use all their calories/energy from sucking and have a hard time gaining wait. Sometimes it only takes a couples days til they're strong enough to eat on they're own. All the best for this puppy, Susan

Our brood is doing great today. They will be staying in the guest room tonight so that we can sleep some. They have all gained weight..from .2 of an oz to a whopping .9 oz. Lexie is doing it all too!!! Again, we are praying for all of you, Misha and her babies. Keep us posted!!

If he can suckle some you may be able to syringe feed him. Try attaching the nipple of a bottle feeder to the syringe and then sometimes you can help them alittle. I have a friend who was able to syringe feed a girl to health. Her girl actually just would suck on the feeding syringe. Your babies are beautiful and prayers to you and your babies that they do well and you will get some sleep. Blessings

My little Rudy is still hanging on! Although he had lost weight from when he was born yesterday. He was 2.5 oz when born and today is 2 oz. I am tube feeding him every two hours now. So hopefully he can start to get stronger and be able to nurse on his own. He roots and nuzzles just can't keep the nipple in. I'm thinking positively that he will eventually get it. Here's two more pictures of Rudy.
