| We're finally home from the vets. Thanks to everyone for the kind thoughts. Misha had to have a C section. The first one in the canal was bigger and she couldn't pass him. We have 3 boys. One is iffy that he will survive. O please pray that he makes it. He was having trouble to begin with with his breathing. Since I have brought him home he is breathing much better. I just can't get him to latch on. They said he can go til in the morning without nursing and then if he still hasn't they will need to tube feed him. They weigh 2.5 oz.--3.5oz. 4 oz. |

| Congratulations on your new puppies and I am... Praying for your baby boy, has he nursed yet??? Have you tried expressing just a bit of colostrum onto your finger and putting it on his lips?? a little goes a long way at first.. When Tea' had her litter five weeks ago, one of the smallest girls was a bit slow to start, I just kept placing her right at the teat and expressing a tiny drop and placing it near her lips..and finally she caught on. | Wow, I missed this last night. I am glad all went well. Has your baby nursed yet? A few breeders here gave the tip of putting saliva on the teat and the baby might latch on then. Are you trying to feed it Esbilac or anything? Keep us posted please. |

| Congratulations! Prayers for the little one that is struggling. My biggest one is the one that had the hardest time coming around after birth and learning to latch on after being born by C section. I found that when I decided to quit giving the pain pills the to the mom that the vet gave me (I found out that most don't give them after the first day and some not at all) the pups and mom both did better. It was too sedating for them and they weren't very aggressive eaters at all. Also it takes a day or so to get the anesthesia out of their systems. The pups are affected by whatever the mother takes also, including medication and anesthesia.
