Congratulations! Prayers for the little one that is struggling.
My biggest one is the one that had the hardest time coming around after birth and learning to latch on after being born by C section. I found that when I decided to quit giving the pain pills the to the mom that the vet gave me (I found out that most don't give them after the first day and some not at all) the pups and mom both did better. It was too sedating for them and they weren't very aggressive eaters at all. Also it takes a day or so to get the anesthesia out of their systems. The pups are affected by whatever the mother takes also, including medication and anesthesia.
