Yes, it is difficult to explain all the ins and outs of breeding, since there are so many things to look at and consider

What you need to do is have someone that really knows about the standard (someone very experienced) and ask them to evaluate your girl and bring her pedigree for them to look at.
It sounds like she doesn't have any champions in the first 3 generations? This makes it really tough to know about her relatives/grandparents, etc.. It is all about genes! Where did you get your girl from? I see you are here in Georgia.

Pat, I agree with Mardelin - you did a great job explaining. We need to call you the one with the "golden tongue." oops - should be golden fingers (key pad). LOL. Nice job.

okay...honestly...twix was not a chosen pet (meaning that we did not get to choose her)...originally, my mom's boss had gave us a Brussell Griffon because his wife thought that she could not take care of her...so seeing that we were a bit sad about it, he promised he would purchase us another dog of choice. We had mentioned that we wanted a yorkie, and then a friend of a friend who worked with my mom said that she knew breeders in macon. so the check was written and twix came home. we sent in her papers and everything and so when her pedigree came in, i evaluated it. don't know much about it, but i don't see any CH bloodlines in her

...i seem to not be able to search for the breeders...i have her name but not a phone numer...i've looked in the white pages and there are only two numbers for that name...ahahhahaa...is that crazy!????? i was thinking about just calling to see if they breed yorkies and then finish off my situation...ohhh...i wanted to call to see how her parents were and how her mom took her pregnancies...that way i know if i need to really expect anything major. by the way, i got her from breeders in macon.....where are you located????

I am located in Dahlonega - at the end of 400. I do not know any breeders in Macon and none that show from Macon. You ought to call the numbers you have and just check to see if it is them. It cannot hurt. Sorry about the pedigree. There are only a few of us here in Georgia that do show. When I lived in Florida - so many.

You ought to come to the Atlanta Rose Cluster show next month (August 24-26). I do not think that is too far from you. Show is located just off the beltway - 285.

We just call it the Cherokee Rose Cluster since with have three days of showing between the Sawnne Mtn. (my club), Lawrenceville and Conyers Kennel Clubs. We have gone in together to put on the 3-days of show. It will be Friday, Aug. 24th - Sunday, Aug. 26th at the Atlanta Exposition Center off of Jonesboro Road in Atlanta. You will need to check later for ring times. They are made public after all enteries are made, usually a week before the shows. Would love to see you there.

FYI (unentered dogs will allowed in the building only if in crates in grooming
area.)
