I am soo sorry to hear of your loss.
I am so glad to hear your girl will be OK.

I am so sorry to hear about your pups.Hope momma is better today.
I never break open a sack until they are all the way out. 1/2 hr is too long to sit with a pup half way out also.
I have had them stop contracting also but pulled them out carefully(when they were already coming)
It is a risky buisness breeding these little ones we take chances every time we have a litter (for the pups and momma).It is not for the weak at heart and
It is part of breeding them.
We lost a singleton pup and mom was very upset she cried for about a week and we felt just awful,give her lots of loving and extra attention.Our female took over a toy stuffed puppy and woudl carry it around with her,that made us feel even more awful.But she did come around ,once the hormones leave her body she will feel better.
Again I am sorry and I do know how you feel.

Ohh I am sitting here bawling my eyes out. I am soo very sorry..I can't begin to image you and your baby's pain. thankfully though, she is ok. I know that doesn't make everything better though. sending you all big hugs

I have had like 500 pups so I can help you I wood not get a heat lamp its not Good for the eye's get a heating pad put under the box on med. I have my yorkie have the pups in a whelping box in my Bed Room and make sure at ALL times there is fresh bedding for her. if you did not know yorkies like to have pups at like 5:30Am/4:00Am So have a Good eye on her at All Times

500 pups? You must have been breeding all your life to have that many pups. Have they all been yorkies or other breeds too?

Do the x-rays show that all are head down? My Yorkie had 3 her first litter, but one was breech and it died. She had a hard time delivering it and should have had a C-section. She just had her second litter Saturday and 2 were breech so we had a C-section done. Much easier on Savannah and all 3 survived.

You have the needed supplies. Just be careful when you clamp the cord, not to clamp it too close to the puppy and cut the cord outside the cord away from her body.

Forgot to mention, if you put the heating pad in with the puppies, make sure there are several layers of towels and that the heating pad is set very low. Feel the towels from time to time to make sure they aren't too warm. I've heard of people killing their babies by having the heating pad too hot.

I'm sooo sorry for your loss.

I hope you all feel better soon. Just for a FYI for new breeders, I would never use frontline or any other chemical on a pregnant dog. Vets and pharmacy Co's can say it's safe but you just never know. I used Bio Spot on a 100 lb dog of mine and he has a VERY bad nervous system reaction and so did the 40 lb mix I gave at the same time. Butch shook and couldn't walk at all for 2 days. Hershey couldn't lift her tail for about 1 wk. 99% of dogs I'm sure it's fine but in mine it was not. It is supposed to stay in the skin and not go into the blood stream but it sure did on my dogs. Who knows if the frontline was responsible but that could have been a factor. I just read on my frontline box it is safe in breeding, pregnant and lactating bitches. I just don't take that chance. We all just do the best we can and it sounds like you are a wonderful pet owner and did all you could.

My vet said her pups were quite large so this concerns me but the vet said she should be able to deliver them on her own! I might need everyones help in the next week or so!
