| Praying this clears it all up.... I should have written all this below before I even posted a question...But I did not...and I am so so Sorry for my neglect and for causing any stress to anyone because of my neglect. Lesson is well learned! OK...here I go...First and foremost...I have no problems with "Lisa". -------------------------------------------------------------------------- My original question was: -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hi, My name is Holly. I would like to start my own yorkie kennel but here in Yarmouth Nova Scotia I have asked the few reg'd kennels her in NS to sell me breeding rights..none will assist me. One lady even advised me never to start a yorkie kennel??? (then why is she breeding them?) I do not know. However, I am still interested in looking into it, Yorkies are such heart takers/breakers! If you can help...Please do not hesitate to email me! Thanks and God Bless Holly ----------------------------------------------------------------------- KENNEL.....I am so Sorry i used that word "kennel"...i did not realize some people take it differently. Kennel to me is a nice warm place for dogs or any animal that receive love, hugs, social attention, food, water...etc. If you can help... I should have asked...Are there any Yorkies breeders willing to help me find a breeder that i can purchase a reg'd dog (male or Bitch or should i say female ???) and who would sell me rights to breed yorkies for pet only. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ My message back to "Lisa" i'll try to explain what I meant and pray this stops any argument i may have caused on here. I am Sorry I asked the question now! --------------------------------------------------------------------- My answer to Lisa: Perhaps I should have mentioned, I lived on a farm until I was 36 yrs old BREEDING and RAISING farm animals, as well as CATS and DOGS which all had babies. I am now 45, I have bred purebred German Shepards , pure bred Beagles and I have for the last year bred unregistered Yorkies. some had c-sections as well, some of which died for no apparent reasons. They were VET CHECKED as well. So as for experience, I believe that would qualify me far more than some others out there breeding. Now, as far as "so many Yorkshire Terrier breeders", I have checked out most of them near and far from my town...there are not as many as you may think, most sell them without papers. So what makes you such an "expert"??? God Bless! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Explanation to: Perhaps I should have mentioned... Yes...I should have stated my whole life "Past" in my question ...Im sorry i neglected to do so. So in my answer to her "Lisa"...I wrote her what i know about dogs/animals...not meaning to pronase words, misplace words etc: ------------------------------------------------------------------------ I am now 45, I have : I thought I used the word "have" here as a "PAST TENCE". Therefore: showing Lisa, In my earlier years i used to breed a different variety of dogs, at different time lines each. So now...I am assuming the word "have" is used differently, again...I am so sorry. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- I have for the last year bred unregistered Yorkies... Yes. i bred Gloria twice only. the pups were either given to friends, relatives or sold to accquaices. I do not intend to keep breeding her until death or worse. She is my gooey princess! I love her! She was bought from a nice clean home in Toronto Canada. "a Back Yard Breeder" if you will. I do not consider them as such. She was vet checked dewormed and a happy go lucky lady and she still is. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- So what makes you such an "expert"??? ... I only asked Lisa back the same as she asked me not meaning any thing derogatory to her or her question. ------------------------------------------------------------------ God Bless!... Yes...Jesus is my Love. I am a practicing Catholic. God Bless means to me: I pray Jesus will bless you and your family with all the good things and bring you love, happiness and Health. I apologize if my wishes for you have offended anyone. ------------------------------------------------------------------ My views on : Puppy mills and back yard breeders: Puppy Mill: My thoughts of a Puppy mill is someone breeding all different breeds to any "bitch" / "female" //"stud"/"male" until that "bitch" / "female"//"stud"/"male" is near death or dead or even worse, I say : "even worse" because Death is better than suffering in my opinion...and All for the sake of money. Back Yard Breeder: Here i have seen two different meanings: one agree with...one i do not agree with. I AGREE: If the dogs or animals are inside a warm comfortable home with lots of hugs and social attention. Not to neglect to mention ...food, water, treats, and play time. Their own time out spot in case the are shy...such as some yorkies are..(i have one of those shy guys and he has several places to "hide" if he feels like it. I know where they are and they all have warm blanket , toy and a bowl of water/food/and a treat//usually a rawhide. I hope that dont offend anyone...my vet says it fine as long as they are the peelable ones..not pig ears either.) I DO NOT AGREE: Dogs or any animal for that matter....bred and left outside in a "kennel"/"Wire Pen" or left in a shed or barn...excluding bigger farm animals that are made for such conditions..such as cow, horse, pig(and not the small pigs that can be kept in a human home either) etc. --------------------------------------------------------------- I pray this has helped! The Lord's Blessings be with you All! Holly |

| I agree, Holly just tried to explain that she was not a novice at breeding dogs and that made matter worse. I know that I am not especially proud of how I started breeding dogs. Won't go into that here for fear of all of the postings against what I use to do. I for one have tried to improve my practices as I have learned. I am now showing as well as breeding and hanging out in forums to try to gain even more knowledge. This last year has been a tremendous year of learning and growth for me. The day I stop learning should be the day I die! |
