| Aca???? Okay my sister got a yorkie, but it's ACA registered. What is the difference between ACA and AKA or are they about the same? She has no idea what she is doing, she has always wanted a yorkie now she has her. Can you explain the ACA and AKA? |

| Sorry I do not know these registries , the only two I know to be reputable are the AKC ( American Kennel Club ) and the CKC ( Canadian Kennel Club) Best of luck to your sister and her new puppy. |

| sorry I meant the AKC, not the AKA. The ACA is the American Canine Association. That is the only thing that I know about it. |

| aca is a registry for people who mass produce or have large breeding stock. it is less expensive for the breeder to register the dog. also, they do not require proof of the dogs purity. just a photo and you saying the dog is a purebred. you see a lot of aca registry with puppies purchased at pet shops. i am sure there is more information about them but this is what i know.

| just to add, this does not mean you have an unhealthy dog or that it is not a purebred. for an example, my muffie did not come with papers. her purity was questionable to me. i wanted to have her registered so i was looking up all the registries. of course akc, ckc would not register her but aca would. i never did register her, she is just my baby who i love with all my heart.
