| it can take up to two years for yorkies to get their full coloring. if you know your line then it shouldn't be hard to figure out what colors they will be. look at your pedigree. what are the coloring of the grandparents and so forth. it is best to have a pedigree w the same coloring so there is no quessing but that is hard to find when people just breed who ever to whom ever.

| ohhh and another thing....just a thought. most people don't have anyone see them until they are at least 6 weeks of age. some 10 weeks. they will change so much from 4 weeks to 10 weeks.

| It really is best to wait unitl the pups have had their first set of shots before allowing them to be handled by outsiders. Please be very careful, have them leave their shoes outside the door and wash their hands. All it takes is a little poo on a shoe and the pups could end up with parvo. One of my pups from the last litter went straight to gold on her head. She is grown now and a beautiful deep shade of warm gold and almost a charcoal blue. Her mother is a redleg. They go through so many changes that it's hard to tell unless you have past litters to go by. Good luck

| As the breeder, you are the advocate for the well being of your pups. If you don't wish to have visitors until they are older, say no. If this person could not wait, then she is free to look elsewhere for a pup. Reasonable people will understand your reasons for having them wait. If you are unsure of the possible adult coloring, just say so. I do not allow anyone to pick pups. I make the choice on which pup is best suited by temperment to each environment. I do take preferences into consideration and will allow selection between two if I have two very similar pups in a litter.
