breeder that will not live up to her end

I'm new to this, but was so upset I wanted to see what others had to say.
Yes I'm a breeder in Maryland and love it more then life.
I have never studed my male out before, but was talked into it bya breeder who said that after she got a male I could use her male. Well time went on
and she got a male, sold the male, got a male sold a male, got a male sold that male. Now she has a male and now tells me no she will not let me use her male, because he is from champion line and will be a champion soon.
I have seen her make deals with many others and not keep her word, but
thought she would to me as we became friends. I also got a yorkie from her
that was 7 months old that was only 4 pounds and had worms, I took her
to the vet the very day I got her and found this out. this yorkie is not 9 months old and is 5 and a half pounds and doing great. Any way I have
no contact with her about her deal with the stud is there any thing I can do.
I have tried over and over again to get her to give me something for my stud
with no luck. at this point I guess I'm out of gas..thanks Lynda

did you charge her a stud fee?

If you didnt because you were friends then I would remind her in a detailed letter how often you gave her free access to your stud. If she used your stud often remind her of the successful beautiful litters she had whelped using your stud and you as a friend were thrilled to share his bloodline. Reiterate her promise to share her stud as to compensate your service, kindness and trusted friendship.

Sometimes people tend to pay more attention to the written word over the voice of disappointment.

She may be doing this to protect her new bloodline not realizing she has offended you or your friendship.

There was no cost to her, just to use her male when she got one.
and yes I have talked to her and wrote a letter to her.
I feel very used, and upset that a friend would not keep their word.

If you had a verbal agreement then doesn't that mean something? I'm sure there is proof that she used your stud on the registration papers for the litters that were bred using your stud? COuld you possibly take her to court? I have no idea on legalities, but it is just a thought. GOod Luck!

What a snake! I hope that you had something written down...some type of contract or even just on a scratch piece of paper!!!!!!! This makes me MAD!!! Look at all of the money that she made off of her litters and never paid you one red cent??????? I would definitely call an attorney and see what kind of case I had.

you guys are making me feel so much better, like asking for what is mine is the right thing. I don't think any breeder should go back on their word.
To try and be the best they can be, people need to trust their breeder.

that is so wrong.....i would be fuming i would take her to small claims court and have her pay you atleast half of the profits that she made from using your stud and now having champion bloodlines since she lied to you it's just so amazing how greedy people can get...so sad

That is what I would do. Since you provided the stud dog, I'm sure you can get the puppy records...how many per litter and what the sexes were...through AKC. Contact AKC customer service.

Why don't you tell her that you are going to tell anyone that she is basically a liar and not to trust her when buying a yorkie from her. You can also tell her that you are putting her name on this forum if she does not keep her word!

Liars are jerks and from the sound of it she is a JERK! Give me her number or email, I'll write her.

I don't know how some people can live with their self, to lie to so many and not pay up on their deals..you just don't know how bad it makes you feel
for someone you know can do this, nothing like if someone you didn't know
did it.

So sorry to hear about your dealings with this person. Might as well get it out of your system even if you cannot settle the issue. Sometimes, it helps to just vent... That person has a lot of enemies now, I have heard..Luckily, I am NOT one of them...

Hi,I am that breeder that Miss. Doggoneyorkies is talking about!
1) I used her male yes, had one puppie very sweet female ...
2) I paid a $500.00 stud fee to her cash
3) I sold her a female pup that I had got from a friend , I didnt want to use her for breeding and sold her, come to find out it was a real bad home, I went back and got her from that hole, she came back to use with worms and it was the worst thing I ever had to see poor baby and Mrs. Doggoneyorkies ask for her veryday over and over , so I new she would give her the best home and sold her to Mrs. Doggoneyorkies , and took a $500 loss, I sold her for 500 less then she was paid for when I got her just wanting her to have a wonderful home and a new start in life that I new Mrs. Doggone yorkie would give her, because she had done for me in the past. I was thinking this was the least I could do .so now we are up to $1000.00 I have giving her. Way I see it I paid all of my fees due !!!!

3) I got a show male and I can't use him at this time with anyone for that matter for breeding it is in my contract, I told her after that we could talk , she took it as a NO and read what she wanted to in this matter, But I never told her no she could not use him , I just cant at this time. And didnt want someone to tell me what it was I was going to with my stud!

I am so sorry for you Mrs. Doggone yorkies that you feel this way about this matter, and took it upon yourself to post it here, And at all times when she knows my poor dad is on his death bed , and I am having a time of this, (kick them when they are down) This was just what I needed to read........... hope things get better for you Mrs. doggoneyorkies and I will send you a e mail telling you if and when I have a stud for hire.
