I got this the other day from YT admin. It's threads like this that keep me from posting. People have questions so they ask here. Them someone comes along and starts bashing them for being irresponsible, unreputable, etc. Some even check their grammer. Far be it from me to delibrately hurt someone for asking what they feel is a just question. This is why I don't ask, don't tell!! I will keep reading and wondering about others questions, but I will not even attempt to justify the manner some people take. There are GOOD people on this site. I will continue to read.

As far as her question goes, my vet says that this is possible. Not likely, but possible.
I understand, I stay out of controversial threads, but it's so much easier to not to post at all. I try to answer others quetions and be helpful, but frankly there's just way too much drama on the forum in general. I even read one lady say "well, you were logged in at such and such time.."oh man is this high school, middle school or what. This is my second post in this thread so I'm out for sure just wanted to say I can't blame you at, I feel the same way.

One must understand the reasons behind blunt posting...especially in the breeder's section. When people with a heart felt passion hears about tiny yorkie mommas that are being bred to produce tiny yorkies, it breaks their hearts. Many, many years have gone by where respected show breeders have tried to perfect our breed and then for someone to come along and purposely do something to change that genetic pattern to produce what is "in at the moment" ticks people off!

Owners control the breeding of these girls. A dog isn't going to understand that sitting out or not being bred is in their best interest. Once their bodies go into season, they'll just respond as nature has programmed them to do.

People may see shocked responses as being rude. I do not. It's one thing to flat out call someone stupid or other names. It's another to question their breeding practices.

Females will continue to have heat cycles well into old age. Does this mean that they should be bred? Heavens no! I know that as a human adult, I'd hate to be pregnant when I'm in my 50s. A dog that is 6 years old has earned a healthy retirement and should be spayed so that she can live the rest of her life as a lap dog.

We all want what is not only best for our beloved pets but for other people's pets as well.

JMO

I agree with a lot of this. but it still has nothing to do with what the poster asked.
It is more for what the other posters turned this thread into. The poster didnt ask a question on any of this.

My Yorkies are in the guidlines listed by the AKC of 3 to 7 lbs. inorder to keep that size in there genetic background. where as in my opinion breeders useing larger dogs for the purpose of larger litters is what recks the back ground.

I was talking to another poster that said you should of took her to a vet and had a oxy shot, I was saying Im glad you didnt. If you did you would of lost that last baby. and I also said that you have been breeding awhile , so im sure you know when and when not to take your females in to the vets. I was paying you a compliment. Maybe I just didnt word it right.
Now im confused, Because daisy mae 06 paid you a compliment on your babys and she too got a bad post from you.
I apologize for miss reading your original post, it's like a boxing fight aroung here and I haven't got a clue about daisymae06 I guess she needed to put her 2 cents in.

I guess it is possible since you have the pup there.

I have never heard of it. My understanding is the bitch is only fertile about 48 hours after ovulation and sperm lives about 72 hours so 9 days is odd.

Maybe because this bitch is so old her hormones are off and she ovulated twice?

I would expect you will have to DNA both sire and Dam and all the pups to register this litter. They will question a 9 day span.

I just saw where she said your babys was cute.

dont worry about it. I prob didnt word it good .
and yeah like many of the threads, they get crazy. no one wanting to stay on topic. as soon as someone posts a new thread. they are off checking out their web site or what ever they can find out on the poster.reading all their prepost. very childish if you ask me. so then nothing gets answered on the org thread. sorry you had to go through this. enjoy those cute baby's.

This is just my opinion, and one shared by many when it comes to breeding. Best of luck to you and yours.

Default Once upon a time a couple years ago...

I had a similar experience with one of our Cocker Spaniels. She was pregnant (only bred to one male) but delivered one puppy, then the next day another and the next week another. It was mind boggling.

Unlove Have Fun!

Well, I want to thank everyone who was kind enough to stick to the original thread and give support from the attackers and all the nice Private messages that were sent, but I have desided to leave this thread to the WOLVES. Havs fun with your bashing. I have more important thing to do, like caring for my new baby.

Just wanted you to know, the same thing happened to my friends cat.
All orange, and then in 7 days she had a black one. Have no idea, how or why it happened, but it did. It happened 2 years ago, I'll see if I still have pictures.
I think you picked out a great name, she really is a Miracle.

I think Admin should delete everything that is not pretaining to the original question.
Maybe there should be stricter rules setup to stop this Off topic stuff.
It take away from those of us that are interested in the answers to the question.
I would like to hear more on this. As, I find it fascinating.
After all this is the breeders section and those of us who breed want to learn everything we can.
Also, spoiledrottenpo
I wonder what problems there will be to registering the litter and how one would go about it ???
Have you checked into this yet ????
