| Help with registration? Hello everyone, I am new to this and not sure if this is the right place to post this. I live in Germany and bought my puppy Bella here a couple months ago. When I was looking for a puppy I wanted to get one that had papers but every breeder I called here did not have papers with them. I ended up going with a certain breeder and when I asked about papers she said that here in Germany breeders do not use papers for breeding purposes and that they only use them if they are going to show? Bella is purebred and I know this probably doesn't sound like it makes sense but this is what I was told. Bella is just a family pet and I do not intend to ever show her. I am just wondering if anyone knows anything about breeding here in Germany as far as papers go and what I can do now to get some form of papers for her if I can at all? Thanks for anyone's advise! |

In Germany, of course, anyone selling for breeding/show would have to have that pup registered. For pet, I don't know but there is a German Kennel Club. Try googling German Kennel Club for their website and there should be a contact tab to either email, phone or write them as to their policy for breeders selling a purebred pup for pet only. | |
