| [QUOTE=Yorkiedaze;1011629]I still don't understand why anyone would buy a dog sight unseen!!! You wouldn't buy a car or a home sight unseen. Most of these dogs are from puppy mills or back yard breeders. Did you even ask for a bile acid test to be done and Vet. records and health certificate? Why don't you just look under the AKC site, go to breeders then to Yorkies breeders. You will find the closet to you. Go look at the pups, the parents and the breeding practices.[/QUOTI I bought both my dogs "online'. The first breeder out of missouri, I have watched her website for about a year and a half, saw pics of the parents, pics of the puppies she was producing and questioned her extensively before getting Bella. I have ZERO complaints about Bella or her breeder. I got the same dog I picked out and I have no regrets. When I got Sachi, I had been just looking at puppy pics on puppyfind and saw him and fell in love. Emailed breeder back and forth for a few days. I came on yorkietalk one day, and a girl here was getting a pup from THE SAME BREEDER and highly recomended her. She was also advertising that "my puppy" was available for purchase. With that I felt both safe with buying Sachi as this girl had bought a puppy from this lady previously (huge mistake, both dogs she got had leggs-perthes disease) and I had trusted her opinion. Sachi was suppossed to be 2-3 pounds. He is 7 1/2 and has a roach back. I had never even heard of that before, let alone knew to look out for it. So all in all, a good experience, and I dont want to say a bad experience because I love Sachi and wouldnt trade him for the world now, but there are good honest people out there, but as is so true in life, it just takes a few bad to ruin it for everybody. |

| I caught this on your 1st post: Both of the puppies parents are less than 3.5lbs. I don't keep any femles or males over that weight. First big red flag......no reputable breeder would breed any female under 5 pounds and jeaprodize their lives......The breeder is breeding for money, knowing that unsuspecting buyers are looking for smaller....... I'm really sorry that this has happened to you.....We all are very trusting and hoping all people are honest. It just doesn't always turn out that way. All you can do is make everyone aware of what and by whom did this and stear them away from these breeders. And of course just love the puppy as you are already doing.
