| I am sooooo sorry this happened. That is just so odd. It's not a piece of cake breeding dogs like some people think. It can be yummy for your heart and excrutiating for your heart too. Glad to know that mama is doing better and will be ok. That would have just been devistating if she wouldnt have been. You are in my prayers!

| was this her first litter? Just wondering, I know alot of us are thinking about breeding our little girls but....I am the type that prefers to learn from others mistakes and though we are here for support for you & your baby we also want to take a valuable lesson from it. Did the vet say why she may have been more prone to get this infection, I know you said there was a rotted pup in her & then you had seen she may have had one in the yard that was frozen. Do you own your stud? I have heard of females being studded several times during heat making the pups different ages & some rotting becaus ethey were in to long, others not quiet ready to be born...I hope you dont mind me asking, I just like to know how we can protect our girls from this. I am sorry we have to learn thru yours. |

| yes she was spayed , the vet sent some samples in to find out what caused this she said it was just a fluke that it just happens sometimes. i felt really awful like there was something i could have done to prevent it but there wasn't so that gives me a little piece of mind.i would never want to do anything to put pets in danger.sweety is doing great got her stitches out today. which she was very happy to have i think they were really starting to get itchy for her. again thank you all. it's nice to know that there are people there that care animals as much as i do |
